We did it! My only advice is to not get discouraged if nothing seems to be happening at first. I was pretty sure it wasn't going to work because she had SO MANY accidents the first day. But it did work. Just stick with it! Good luck!

It gets worse before it gets better. Leaving her diaper less was better for us. It wasn't really just 3 days.

We did it over Thanksgiving, and honestly it was so much better than I expected.
day 1: we only had 1 accident. I started with setting a timer for every 30 minutes, but she hated it and got so mad when i told her it was time. I figured out if I just asked instead and she was very good about telling us there was no pushback/fight. We did undies (no pants) when at home, not naked, I wanted her to get used to wearing underwear.
day 2: we actually ventured out of the house, she had 1 accident this day too, but at home (DH took her outside to play forgot to ask and she was having fun...)
day 3: potty trained, she's been in panties since.
Note: we still do pull up at nap time and bed time, she's not ready yet for sleeping, but at 26 months old and down to 2 pullups a day I can handle it!

We just hit 3 days over here! We went cold turkey with the diapers day and night. She wet the first night but hasn't the past few. She tells us when she needs to go and will even go in public and does well with #2! I was surprised it went that well. I'll admit I wanted to scream the first day but it was all well worth it! My biggest tip is to not do any sort of diaper even out and about.

Don't be discouraged the first day and a half, just stick with it. Its like a lightbulb when it finally clicks.
Good luck!

For those that used this method did you reward them for going in the potty? And did you really go bottom less all the time at home?!

We didn't really do the 3 day method, but we did start of bottomless at home and I think that helps a lot. Underwear are confusing at first. Good luck!

@jmarionsmith: we used m&ms as a reward and we really did go bottomless the whole time. (It was summer and we have wood floors throughout the apt).
I was actually surprised as to how well it went. DS understood pee the first day and had maybe one accident, but the rest of the time he managed to make it to the toilet. Poop took longer, about 2 weeks. He didn't have accidents, but would wait until we put on a diaper for naps or night to poop. I sent him to school in underwear that Monday and he had a pee accident the first day and a poop accident the second day, and after that, he had it figured out. Of course, he still had the occasional accident here and there, but I think that's pretty normal. Night training came on it's own within about 2 months of the initial potty training. He was 30 months when we started.
Eta: I bought juice and flavored waters (which he normally doesn't get) and encouraged him to drink a lot while we were training so that he would have to go a lot.
