If your lo stayed home with you before prek and started at age 3 how many days did you do? It's 3 hrs from 8:30-11:30

Well mine has been full time all along but I'd say with such short days 3 days would be more helpful in getting them adjusted. The less frequent, the more trouble they have with the transition.

My nephew does those hours, well 9-12, three days a week. I'm hoping to do that with my daughter when she's old enough too. Both kids stayed at home full-time with mum or granny.

My son started daycare 2 mornings (8:30-12) per week at 20mo. He switched to 5 mornings per week at 26mo and is now almost 3yo. Between illness and the holidays, he was in and out of school a lot in Nov and Dec. Dropoff became awful with lots of tears until he was back to 5 days per week in January.
So, I think more days / consistency is better because it's less confusing to them.

My 3 year old goes 3 days/week (Tues-Thurs) and he loves it! When I worked, he stayed with my mom and then I became a SAHM when he was 19 months. I didn't know what to expect in terms of his adjustment, but he did great! I'm sure part of it was his outgoing personality, but he never had any issues. He started at 2 years 10 months and goes 8:30-12.

We are hoping to send our LO 3 days per week for three hours in the fall. He will be 3y4m.

Ours is 3 days for 3 hr with an optional 4th day. She'll go 5 days next year.
