@kiddosc: That's actually really encouraging! Did you just put him in pull-ups full-time? Or just when you thought he needed to poop?

DD went through this and it took many months before she'd go on the potty and i'll be honest still to this day it's still a nightmare. I feel like she holds it for an assortment of reasons (too busy playing/doesn't want to stop, doesn't want to go at school, just doesn't want to go) and it then causes it to be painful so then she holds it bc of that! It's a serious nightmare in our house even after getting through the diaper to poop phase.

@Ajsmommy: Ugh, that's frustrating. I'm sorry you guys are still struggling with this!

@Adira: Full time. I wanted him to go when he felt the urge, not hold because he didn't have a pull-up on. He was in daycare full time, so they really weren't equipped to be able to change him into a pull-up at a moment's notice also. I would take him to the bathroom to pee often, even when he didn't say he had to go to reinforce the idea that we still pee in the potty.

@Adira: We did, yes! Prune pouches, prune juice, and lots of liquids to try to flush out her system a bit since she was holding it and making herself constipated. She was super afraid of pooping on the potty and afraid of it hurting (result of constipation).

Logan just pooped on the potty!!!!!!!!!! Only took five months from when we potty trained and three months since this post, but FINALLY!!!!
He was definitely trying to hold it and didn't want to go on the potty, but he was really struggling to hold it in and was just whining and miserable, so I was like "Let's just try! Come on! Let's go!" So he reluctantly raced with me to the potty and sat down, whimpering the whole time. I was like "Just try to fart and you might feel better!" so he did and then he started peeing and then he pooped!!! He cried during it, but I think he was just kind of scared. After, he looked down and was like in awe or something. I just kept saying "You did it, Logan!!! You pooped in the potty!!! I'm so proud of you!!!" And then he kind of caught on to my excitement about it and was like "I pooped in the potty!! Just like Dada and Mama and Xander!" And then I gave him a ton of chocolate, hahahaha!

Two months later and we are STILL not consistently pooping on the potty, but he's been doing it more often since my last update. Maybe once every other week? But this past weekend, he pooped on the potty THREE TIMES!!!! Fingers crossed we're finally at a break-through!!!
