What are your plans for the holiday?
We are headed to my husbands family lake house today. Parade Saturday morning and BBQ in the afternoon. The older will get to stay up late for fireworks Saturday night but I will probably be stuck home with the baby. Bright side is some alone time

Family beach house for an extra long weekend! DH and I going to a fancyish, fun July 4th party on the beach while my parents babysit!!

Dh works until late. I'll be taking the babies (8.5 months and 2 year old) to the park down the street for a picnic and fireworks. I love 4th of July and think the fireworks are so "magical" in a way. DD loves the fireworks and DS saw some last month at a graduation so I think it will be a fun night.

I'm a Canadian but Dh and I are heading to Boston for a kid free long weekend...we might go check out fireworks !

@Charm54: fun!! The fireworks in Boston are great! if you're near the Hatch Shell you can hear the symphony. But they also pipe the sound to speakers along both sides of the river further down so everyone can hear! (And it's less crowded)

DH's family is coming over to grill. Then we'll watch all the neighbors fireworks.

@Charm54: fun! You can see the fireworks really well from MIT and lots of parking, if you need it
We're going to the Red Sox game in the afternoon and still trying to figure out fireworks.

We are headed up to our lake house this afternoon for the weekend. Fireworks tomorrow and Sat on the lake and a parade on Sat as well. Should be a fun weekend!

We live in Atlantic Canada so we get all the Boston TV channels...I've grown up watching Pops Goes The Fourth so I'm excited to see it in real life! Is there anywhere else we must see/eat at in Boston while we are there? We are staying at the Ames so hoping to walk downtown a bunch. Also some Wrenthem outlet shopping for me

My ILs invited us over for burgers and dogs in the 4th. Woohoo! No cooking for me! Not sure yet if DH will take DD1 out for fireworks. It doesn't start till 10....but I'll definitely stay home with the baby.

My mom rented a beach house at the Outer Banks for our whole family, because it's also her 70th birthday--so we're going to go and hope to avoid being bitten by sharks!
Luckily, the house has it's own pool.

In-laws are waiting on some suite tickets to the baseball game downtown for us and DS. If that falls through we might pack our bags for one last trip up north before baby's arrival!
Our original plan though is to do a day at the metro park Friday, ball game Saturday, and then BBQ on Sunday!

Step kids are arriving for their summer visit on the evening of the 4th. I will keep the babies up late to see them and we will watch some fireworks from our neighborhood.

Going to my parents (45 min away) for a family cookout. Go swimming. Head home before fireworks because my 2yo doesn't like loud noises.

I honestly just want to do nothing! Fri is actually cleaning/errands day, and Sat we have a family coming over to hang out with us.

I'm planning not to leave my house. lol
DH is working, and I've been invited to a family's house, but we haven't told them I'm pregnant yet, so I'd rather stay home than try to lie to them.
Plus after being away from work last week (and having my flight canceled and coming home a day late) and having my mom over the weekend before, I just feel like I need a day to do nothing!
But I am doing lunch with two friends tomorrow and meeting another one in the afternoon, so I won't be anti-social all weekend!

We're at my family's house on Cape Cod. Just us and the kids right now, eagerly awaiting my parents and siblings getting here - baby holders and toddler entertainers
We'll go to the Chatham band concert tomorrow night (something that I have great memories of from my childhood and M loves now) and the parade on Saturday morning.

Nothing big. I might travel into the city and go to my work to see the fireworks from my work's rooftop deck. We did this a few years ago and told ourselves traffic was too bad to do it again. But since I'm pregnant, I kinda want to try to go this year. Though, DH brought up about leaving the dogs. I doubt work would let me bring my dogs but maybe I should ask.
But, I could flake and end up staying home. Yeah, I have no idea.
