Does anyone make their own, or do you use a mix? Care to share your method or mix?

I make from a mix. The kind you have to add milk to, not just water.. I think I did make it from scratch before. I can't remember how it turned out! My mom has a friend that makes a hybrid version using cream cheese. Wow that was good! Guess I'm no help

I use a mix that I buy at the Asian store. I LOOOOVE Almond dofu!! Perfectly sweet.

Thanks @Alivoo01 and @T-Mom! I thought I was kind of being inauthentic for using a mix, but it's probably going to come out better for a newbie!

I had no idea you could make this at home! We always get it at dim sum and FI loves it - now I have to find the mix.

@LindsayInNY: It's almond jelly, picture jell-o, but milky white and flavored with almonds. Sometimes it's served with drained fruit cocktail, which I love!

@keiki_mama: I am kind of intimidated by agar agar, truth be told. I tried once to make mango pudding, but it didn't set correctly, which I think is because you need to use gelatin with mangos.

I've only used a mix as well!
