My babies don't have an exact time (or time frame) when they go to bed or wake up.Well, my time frame is larger like between 8pm and midnight for bedtime.

Usually they are up around 10am (sometimes earlier or later). We change them and feed them. Then they are up about 1-2 hours and get cranky and then it's nap time. They sleep 1-2 hours (sometimes more) until they get hungry again about 4-6 hours after their last bottle. That's the cycle for most of the day.

We have a night time routine. We add their bedtime multivitamin (pediatrician prescribed) to their bottle if it's after 7pm because usually if they eat before 7p, they'll be up (hungry) before midnight. Usually, if they eat after 7pm, they'll be asleep until the morning. The 7pm thing with the multi-vitamin is really a cue for us so we always remember to give it to them.

Oh, all of their feedings are done in the living room where we have the twin feeding chair. We don't feed in their nursery. Not enough space for it. Though, I guess we could bring the twin feeding chair and put it on top of the twin bed in their room for night time feedings. We could start bed time around 7pm and instead of bringing them into the living room (where it's brighter), we could keep the lights dim and feed them in their nursery... so any feedings between 7p-12a are in a dimmed room.

It works for us. They get between 8-12 hours of sleep once they go down, but it's not time dependent. It might be 8pm or it might be 11pm that we start our night time routine.

We close the blinds & use a black out curtain in their room after 8pm and open them when they get up in the morning. So I think they do understand night and day.

We have a weekly PT appt every Tuesday at 10am. We simply wake them at 8am to give them a bottle and gives them enough time to digest before we hit the road at 9:40a. So the lack of a schedule does not mean, it's unpredictable in our house. If there is something we need to do during the day, we'll wake them, feed them and put them in the car seat and then go.

Oh, the twins are 7 months old.

Anyone else not on a schedule?

ETA: The only thing that I can't predict is when they'll be awake during the day. So if a friend wants to come over, there won't be a guarantee that they'll be awake or asleep.
