How do you like it? Does it hold up? A lot of reviews says it breaks fairly early on. I want to order one from Target and would pay $4 for a 2 yr replacement plan anyway.

I have the super basic homedics sound machine- $20. It works fine, although we are on our second one. To be fair, the first got dropped a few times on a wood floor. I expect a lot of electronics would break. I like that it has a battery backup in case of power failure, but can be plugged in.

Yes. I used ours nightly for about 2 years before DH complained about it.
My mom uses one nightly and travels with it and has had hers for years before needing to replace them. At $20, I didn't worry about longevity too much.

We use the cheap Homedics one from Target. We've had ours for almost 3 years with no problems. We keep one at my parents and one at my inlaws. I have a couple extra too.

This is the one we use. Not sure if it's what you're talking about. We LOVE it!

We have the snail one and have had good luck with it. We use it every night and it starts sounding strange when it needs batteries but that's not a big deal.

We have the homemedics one and the graco sweet slumber. the homemedics is my favorite. It's louder and slimmer, so easier to bring along if we travel. We use it every night and for naps; so 3-4 times a day so far for six months and it has not broken.

@Mrs.ThinMint: This is the one that we have. I originally bought it back in 2012 when LO was born. Sleep Sheep kept on turning off during naps. I forgot Sleep Sheep on a trip and picked this one up at Target and never looked back.
We had to open up another sound machine last night when LO slept in our bedroom because his closet got flooded. We had two sound machines going last night. Our hallway sounded like rain.

We have one in each LO's room. After over a year of nightly use, one is kinda on the fritz. Still works, but will cut out if I don't pay attention when I turn it on. Other one still seems ok. The nature sounds can be a bit hokey but we always use the white noise setting.
