I don't know if I used Yuletide correctly here... but is anyone lighting up their fireplace on this Christmas or Christmas eve?
I am considering doing so this evening, after the kids go to sleep!

aww yeah, i'm with @chopsuey119 - i'd do it if we had a fireplace. we used to light it up at our home in va, when we did have a fireplace (although it's gas, i think it's more romantic if it was fire)....

We have a fireplace, but our tv is in it. Ideally we were going to light our firepit outside (being in AZ, its nice out) but for the second year in a row it is a no-burn night on Christmas and Christmas Eve- booo county!

I guess that sounds strange where it is cold and a necessity, huh!
In AZ when the air pollution levels get too high the county bans open fires and burning. I guess because everyone here has to have air conditioning to survive the summer, so that always comes with heat for the winter, so fireplaces are more of a luxury or extra.

@lemondrop: fireplaces aren't needed here either, but I've never heard of them being banned! Interesting...

@mrbee: It's only once every couple of weeks, definitely not all the time- it just is amazing the last couple of years to have it be on the holidays
Plenty of people ignored it last night, but we don't want to get caught and pay the fine!

Our new house has a fireplace and we finally got it inspected so it's good to go. But sadly the one time I actually want cool weather it isn't coming! It's way too hot here for a fire

The first thing my husband did this morning is light the fire. It has been really nice.
