I see Bundlemes all the time at second hand shops around here, but I've held off on getting one because I didn't know if they would work with our Keyfit. The website just says "use with car seats." Are they pretty universal?

Most bundlemes actually aren't compatible with any car seats. Only the shower cap style ones are OK for use in car seats.

Yes it will fit the keyfit if you choose to use one. You can look up how to modify it to make it "safe" for use.

I should clarify, I am looking for something to use when we're walking the dog and the car seat is clipped into the stroller, not when it's in the car.

@lady baltimore: I used an infant sized bundle me in the keyfit fine (modified) - but will say that it made my first INSANELY sweaty and my second *hated* it. It's way cheaper (and just as effective) to bundle up with blankets and a hat I think!

I used one for the same purpose with my December baby in Chicago, and it worked fine with our Keyfit. I had the car seat that came with a boot, and so I would layer a folded blanket inside the bundle me under the boot.
