I'm a total introvert. Love hiding away somewhere by myself!

Introvert. I need a lot of time to myself to recharge my batteries and just be.

I'm a closet introvert. If you asked someone else they would describe me as an extrovert. Basically I swing both ways.

introvert for sure. i could force myself to be more extroverted, but socializing is draining!

Definitely an introvert.
How strange..... there seems to be a lot of us on an online forum! Lol

@Synchronicity: my theory has always been that bloggers tend to be introverts. introversion/extroversion doesn't translate on the web, and it's a way to control social interaction without it being as draining as in person interaction!

@Mrs. Bee: Exactly. I can hang out here and get a little bit of socialization without really putting myself out there at all.

@photojane: I'm so glad! Surely there are more of you all around here somewhere...

I took a little test at a sales meeting this week and it said that I'm an Ambivert. Which is a mix of both, and pretty much says that I take my cues from the people and situations I'm in.
I have to be "on" all day in my job, but I relish my time at home being antisocial too:)

I used to be solidly introvert and socializing was so tiring! But now I find that I like it sometimes and I might be moving towards the middle of the spectrum.

Both, honestly. I'm currently struggling to find a career that satisfies both sides of that Sometimes engineering is TOO introverted!!!
blogger / pomegranate / 3044 posts
I need time for both? In a big crowd I feed off the energy, but then I definitely need me/quiet time too. When I took Myers-Briggs I was just slightly extroverted.

Extrovert but more introverted these days with WAH.
persimmon / 1183 posts
Very selective extrovert.
I like being around people and prefer to hang out with a large familiar group than a random party scene with a lot of small talk.

I'm the same as @youboots: I'm both, it just depends on my mood and who I'm with. My husband is a total extrovert.
eggplant / 11716 posts
I'm a mix of both, but leaning more towards extroverted. I don't approach strangers and talk and I don't do super well in gigantic parties where I don't know anyone, but put me in a small group of strangers and I'm fine talking to anyone. My husband is more introverted

a pretty good mix of both. i like my alone time, but also love being around people, going places, talking to new people...

Introvert for sure! Not that I don't love being with people but I definitely feel drained and can only feel recharged by being alone.
persimmon / 1343 posts
I'm a chameleon, lol I tend more towards introvert but I can be outgoing and sociable if needed. But I am very reflective and definitely feel kind of stained after a big party or something. I don't require much social interaction.

I'm a complete extrovert! I'm at my happiest in big groups and large crowds!

extrovert, I'm a very social person and need interaction.
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@Synchronicity: some of the most extroverted people i know are the least involved on social media (FB, IG, etc)!
kiwi / 643 posts
Introvert, definitely. I like being around people but eventually I feel drained and need to be alone.
pomelo / 5257 posts
@youboots: same! I think it's because people often confuse extroversion with being outgoing. I'm a friendly, outgoing person, but I also recharge by being alone vs. with others. Too much socializing is exhausting!

I think I am a mix of both. I don't need much alone time, but I do enjoy it sometimes. I am happy to spend a Saturday night in, but I don't like to do that all the time. I love meeting new people, hanging out in groups/crowds, attending parties, etc. I am definitely more energized after these activities than after spending time alone. My job involves a lot of interpersonal interaction. However, I feel a little anxious going into situations where I know few people (like a wedding without a date, a new playgroup, etc). I always act outgoing, but internally I am nervous at first...once I've gotten over it though, I have a blast. I hate public speaking and prefer not to be the center of attention. I also dislike making phone calls and definitely prefer text/email. Maybe I am a shy extrovert?!

Im an extrovert though I do get tired of being out eventually and want to be alone to decompress

Complete introvert, but have to be an extrovert for work, which took getting used to (& can still be awkward!)
