We tried to get all the same brand but then had to make a few last min changes when things didn't fit! But everything matches well.

Nope! Our stove is a professional Capital range, dishwasher Bosch, fridge Samsung and range hood an Italian brand. But they are all the same brushed stainless steel finish.

Nope, we have a Wolf cooktop, Miele dishwasher, and Kitchenaid Architect series fridge.

No we have a whirlpool stovetop, original oven from 1958, ge fridge, he dishwasher.

@chopsuey: Nice! We were deciding between controls on the outside and controls on the edge and decided on the outside to cut down on having to open it. Not sure if that really mattered though!

Nope! We have a GE dishwasher & microwave that are original to the house (so I assume they were once all GE), a 'Magic Chef' stove, whatever that is, and a lovely new Samsung refrigerator. Our stupid stove is on the fritz so for Xmas we are getting a new oven & microwave, and darn it, the brands will match!

No, and I can't stand them. They came with the house, so we didn't get to pick them out. I figure the builder got several of them second-hand or scratch and dent because they have issues. The only thing I like is our stove.
Is it wrong that I sometimes hope our dishwasher will break so I can justify replacing it?

Probably not... I've never thought to check! They're all hideous and from the 80's, so I imagine we'll be having to replace them all at once pretty soon...

All of the major appliances are (fridge, stove, dishwasher). They came with the house but we're pretty happy with all of them.

Yes except for the over the range microwave bc the matching one was $399 and the one we bought was $249. Just couldn't justify the extra $$$ for a matching brand (finishes match)! It was important to me in our forever home

Our major appliances (fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer) are all the same brand. Our house was a spec home so this is the appliance package that it came with. We haven't picked the appliances for our new house yet but I'm assuming that the washer & dryer will probably be a different brand, but I don't know about the rest. I like the uniform look of having the same brand in the kitchen though.
