I prefer Ava. I just like the name better and I feel like there are a million Olives/Olivias cropping up already.

Between the two, I like Olive best, but Ava Joann sounds better. I voted for Ava. In a similar vein these are names I like even more Elle, Farrah, and Liv.

For boys: love Christian! How about Tristan, Landon, Topher, Kent, Kendall, Jere or Jeremy?

Olive!

I voted Olive but meant to vote Ava.

Ava is my DD's middle name. I think it's so beautiful.

I love Ava but my DH vetoed it and we went with Olivia (Liv). I prefer Olivia over Olive and voted Ava.

Ava is a beautiful name. I really dislike Olive for some reason.

Ava for girl, Oliver for boy?

I really like Oliver, but not olive. But, a boy with a nickname of Ollie would be fantastic, like in the Arrow tv show

It seems too short, perhaps, just being Olive. My brain isn't fond of it without another syllable.

We have similar taste in names! I'd vote Ava (or spelled Eva, still pronounced the same) with the mn you like, but have been considering Ella, Emma & Leah ("Lee-ah", can't decide how that should best be spelled) or Olivia.

@GoGoSnoGirl: Leah *is* tricky. I find most people pronounce it Lee-ah like Leah Rimini and not Lay-ah like Princess Leah. My first encounter with the name was Lay-ah though.

I'll chime in and say I prefer olive just because there are sooooo many Ava's.
