In today's installment of "things that should be obvious but I can't figure out" - how the heck do you feed babies soup? Is there a strategy here I'm missing?

One drop of soup fits on those baby spoons. And the second the spoon gets anywhere near my kids they bat at it and then the one drop of soup flies off? My cousin's daycare almost exclusively feeds the kids soup for lunch. Are you kidding me? What kind of witchcraft do her teachers use to make this happen?

I just had to fish the noodles out and give them those to eat because the soup was not happening today. I'd like to try this again someday, though, because I like making soup. I just want more soup in their mouths and less on their pjs. Help?
