It took both of my girls about 14 months to finally STTN. Counting the restless pregnancy nights, that was 4 straight years of interrupted sleep. UGH! So glad to be past that now.
How long before yours finally STTN?

God, our LO is 30 months and he still doesn't always sleep through the night.

@travellingbee: W still gets up several nights a week and comes into our room. .. But now she comes over to DH's side of the bed so I play dead he he

E is 25 months and still doesn't STTN. Although, she has done for 3 out of the last 4 nights so perhaps we are turning the corner? Pleeeeeaaaase don't let that curse it!!

Around 10.5 months sporadically. We had a good consistent stretch from 12-15 months and then it's all gone to hell again! Last night was the first time she has sttn in 3 months.

Neither of my 16 month olds sleep through the night. DS has gone through a couple spurts of STTN more than one day in a row, though. DD is still up 1-3 times per night to nurse.

DS1 - he started STTN at 4 months old and stopped at 7-8 months. He is almost 3 and only does now if he is cosleeping.
DS2 - he started at 5-6 months and after 9-10 months only does sometimes but not consistently. He still wakes up crying and I go get him and bring him to bed where he sleeps the rest of the night.
Yes my boys aren't great sleepers and the bed gets crowded, but I don't believe in sleep training. I figure it's developmental.

@travellingbee: mine only does because he sleeps with me! Some kids aren't sleepers.

Still waiting for him to SSTN at 9 months. Just went back to work too and now I'm really feeling those night wake ups. Pray for me. ..

My son sttn 12-14 months, then not very often unless he slept with us. Finally at 23 months we told him he wasn't coming into bed with is anymore (there was a lot of crying that first night) but he has STTN since.

There were brief periods where DD started STTN but she finally got consistent around 15 months. It's wonderful!!

She started on her own around 9 months, although we still definitely have the occasional night time wake up still.

LO STTN for the first time when she was 15 months, but still wakes up at least once a night 2-4 times a week, and she just turned two.

Ugh. Not consistently until 22-23 months. For some reason being in a toddler bed helped.
Now I'm pregnant with number 2, which sucks because I'm just starting to get used to sleeping more than 3 hours at a time. I hope this next kid likes to sleep

14 months, when I went out of town for a week and we night weaned cold turkey. Before that, she was up at least 3 times a night to nurse.
I say that, though, and yet the last few nights, she's been up again. So who knows?

18 months and then it went all to crap right before he turned 2. He's sleeping slightly better now, but still not STTN. I'm hoping he does really, really soon because I'm currently pregnant and would like some decent sleep (if possible) before #2 arrives.
@Ellie: Me too! I'm hoping #2 likes to sleep a bit more than DS! Total game changer. lol

My son only started sleeping through the night when I night weaned him at 15 months.
On the other hand, my daughter is an angel sleeper and has been sleeping through the night since 5 weeks. So there is hope, ladies!

He started sleeping through the night more consistently at 10mo, but at 14mo he is still pretty unpredictable. He may sleep through the night 3 nights in a row, then wake up 3 times a night for a night of two, go a week sleeping through the night, then wake up once a night for a week, etc. he rarely wakes up more than 2x a night though. (At the peak of his had sleeping it was 5-6 times a night).

Oh man, this thread is making me feel so much better about DS2's sleep!
DS1 started STTN after Ferber ST at 5 months. He will occasionally cry out cause he can't find his sippy in the night or something but for the most part at 26 months is good.
DS2 has been pretty tough to ST, but now at 12 months we're at 1-2 wakeups pretty reliably which is a relief.

13 months until she first slept through the night, and it's been back and forth since. My second started sleeping though the night on night 1!

11 months and she's slept through the night sporadically.... Usually one wakeup.

Well, he's going to be 3 (years!) this month & he doesn't sleep through unless he's in our bed. He's usually up after 4-5 hours sleep, climbs into our bed, and does another 4-5 hr stretch. It sucks majorly, but at least he's really good at not waking us up most nights when he comes in (although I kinda wish he would so we could take him back to his room!!)
