I LOVE my Bogg Bag I got last year. It is massive, yet still fairly lightweight. It stands up and doesn’t tip over. It’s made out of croc-like material so I don’t care if it gets wet. It has holes on the side so if it gets full of sand I just brush it out. It has ziplock pouches on the side too for smaller items or things you want to protect. It’s seriously the best. Also I’m jealous of your warm weather! We still have at least 8 feet of snow on the ground

i think i have the xl with long handle. I asked for it for a gift and it’s giant ... so I never actually take it anywhere, just store stuff in it. I have a tote from target’s summer aisle I use for the pool. It’s one of those rectangular ones, where the bottom is sturdy and the sides collapse. I can fit 4 towels (rolled), waters and small stuff in it. Not huge but cheap and easy!

I have a Thirty-one large utility tote. It’s perfect to throw in all swim stuff. Bonus bc it folds down flat.

If you haven’t already bought, I have a scout bag and really like it. I have a style with only one extra internal picket, but that’s not an issue because I use other smaller bag (wet bags, mesh bags, etc) to group other small items together. It’s very light and waterproof!

@misolee: @Mrs. High Heels: another vote for the 31 Large tote~ I have the smaller bin inside and it holds the sunscreen and chapstick and goggles, etc

Does anyone bring a beach cart when they go to the beach? I am seriously considering one for a possible shore vacation this summer because I really can't manage a big bag and our chairs and gear.

@Mrs. High Heels: I have a Lands End XL bag and love it. I personally don't think it's heavy by itself and it fits a TON of stuff which is what I wanted it for. I did get it with the extra long handles so it's easier to carry. However, like @Adira: mentioned, if you aren't wearing sleeves, it can cut into your shoulder if it's loaded down.

Scout bags are awesome, too, like @pinkelephant: recommended. They're very lightweight.

@Mrs. High Heels: I don't think the bag itself is THAT heavy, though it does seem to be made out of a heavier-duty material. Definitely don't have to worry about it breaking, I don't think! Loaded up with beach towels and sun screen and toys and some snacks though... it definitely was biting into my shoulder and was a pain to carry long distances. I'm actually in the process of trying to find some sort of beach back pack to use instead... I think distributing the weight across both shoulders would help. BUT if you're not going to do a ton of walking with it, it IS a great bag. I LOVE how much stuff it fits and all the different pockets!

I might get that mesh one! Currently I just have a huge plastic one from Target. Looks cute, is water proof...
