I hate how Play Doh dries out and cements itself to carpet. What's the best alternative? Some sort of wax?

Modeling clay? it never seems to dry out.

You can also buy some. They use this at my husband's school. It's not quite the same as play doh because it's a little firmer but it's sort of the same idea.
