Trying to think of something small to give Lucy at the hospital when the new baby comes in a few weeks. Any ideas? She's still pretty young, maybe just a teddy bear? Would love to hear any ideas you all have!

We just put together a little bag with a new coloring book, markers, crayons, magnets, stickers.. My thinking was to get her something that would keep her occupied for the night at grandma's, not necessarily a new "toy." My firstborn was just 17 months at the time though so any random thing presented to her nicely would've been a hit :P. A new plushie doll would've been great and better as a keepsake, though.. Darn!

I have been debating this too- DD will be 20 months when the baby gets here. A new doll seems like the popular choice, or I thought about a giant bear from Costco. Or maybe just doll accessories for her current favorite doll? Except he's a boy and all the accessories I see are for girls. Maybe DVDs to distract her while occupied w/baby?

I really want to take lo to build a bear to make something for new baby and something for himself....then ill box them both up until baby is born
he will be almost 2 when baby is born. It will most likely be too ypung to remember, but i will remember for them -

LO was 28m and we got her a baby Stella doll with a newborn set. She loved to rock and feed her baby doll when I'm tending to baby sister.
