People are asking. What are some ideas to give people for same gender second children?
I would love subscriptions and memberships but most family like to give physical items.

I'm struggling with this too.
My list for Logan mostly contains more books and clothes (I figure clothes is easy and then Logan doesn't have to ONLY wear hand-me-downs). I also added more of things that Xander really likes and won't like sharing, like more blocks, more balls, more toy cars, etc.

Can you give more information - how old is the second child? Does s/he have different interests for the first that you didn't get? Things they might both want to use that you could use a second of?
We have two Goddaughters 2 years apart in age so there's overlap (like, they obviously can both use the playhouse we bought the older one), but some things we've gotten the second one - a child sized guitar, a rocking horse, a plasmacar.

Something with their name on it...like those puzzle stools.

Also, magnatile expansion kits, a baby doll, their own balance bike, etc. So many things!

@erinbaderin: haha she's turning one so no real interests yet.
@Adira: we have SO much toys already I really do not want any more clutter. Most people I think are telling us they're gifting clothes. Which I'm grateful but prepared that we'll probably not wear them because they'll be wrong size/season despite them knowing the sizing!

@looch: haha that is my first birthday gift to all family kids! A is getting one from us and big sister has one of her own.

@regberadaisy: It's such a great gift idea!
I was also thinking maybe a personalized monogram cut out for the bedroom, unless you already have name letters.

@looch: haha yeah I've been gifting that for 11 years! When my first niece and nephew turned one.
I love personalization gifts but most of them are more going to the store and buy things kinda person. Like BIL literally goes day of.

@regberadaisy: We are in a similar situation with my DD2's birthday coming up next month. So far I have added a few books, a print from Minted for her room, her own SkipHop backpack, Duplos, and a Step2 Buggy to her wish list. I would also love for family to chip in for music classes or something like that, but our family and friends also like to buy physical gifts...

For all friends first birthdays (first child or not) I've been doing a book and a gift card. I figure grandparents go all out for first birthdays, and it's not like the kid will remember what I got them, so I might as well let the parents pick out something they really need or want that hasn't already been gotten.
Or could you ask for clothes in different sizes (maybe not what he needs now, but what you might short on in the next year)?
