I'm probably over-thinking this but both of my LOs have been invited to the same two birthday parties this weekend. How would you handle gifting?

If our family attends a party versus just one child, we try to maybe gift a little higher. But not double.

I always spend within the same $ range regardless of if one or both of my children is invited.

we've always invited all kids in the family, so i would only expect one gift per family and that's what we give too.

If both kiddos were invited, two gifts. If one is tagging along older sibling, one gift.

2 kids attending, I'd probably spend double what i normally spend.

I appreciate all the input! So far I have one gift each that costs slightly more than what I would normally spend. I'm debating adding a very small second gift for each kid (like a pack of cute barrettes for the girl or a pack of markers for the boy).

I do one gift. Sometimes I'll spend a little bit more than usual (like if it's a pricey kiddie venue and I know they're paying per head), but generally not double.
The one thing I do differently is that I often try to do a multi-part gift and wrap the two bits separately, so that each of my kiddos has a gift they can carry into the party or present to the birthday child. They don't have to be big or equal items - for example, my older girls recently gave their cousin a remote control fire truck and a fire station themed Curious George book (each piece wrapped separately).
