I've been on the registry for years. A friend of mine recently became a donor.

I've never heard of it, but it sounds like a great cause! I'd really consider it.

My husband Nd I both registered in college! No calls though.

I just registered Not that I can do much until after the pregnancy (and I'm not that exciting being from Caucasia and all, but every person helps!), but I've been meaning to do it for a long time, so thanks for getting me moving!

I really want to donate cord blood, but my hospital doesn't handle cord blood donations. I'm thinking of writing them a letter since their parent hospital does, requesting that they get their shizz in gear.

I have been on the registry for a few years but have never been called.

I'm on the registry, but I'm less exciting than my daughter who is black, American Indian, Filipino and white. I remember a little guy with AML who needed a transplant when I was a resident. There were no matches because he was Japanese, Filipino and Inuit.

Hopefully my daughter will want to be on the registry when she's older!

I registered in college. For a class project on civic engagement, we actually did held a bone marrow-thon on campus to get people to register. It was pretty cool. I've never been called, though.

I am on the bone marrow registry - registered in college - Ashkenazi Jews usually match with each other I guess so there is a need in our community.

I got a call about being a match a year or two after college, but because of my asthma being so bad at the time, I was too high risk for the surgery according to them. I was so upset, because it really would have meant a lot to me to be able to help.
