Hey ladies! So we try to read to DS as much as possible and are looking for some new reading material. Here's background on him. DS just turned 3 and has a speech disorder. He enjoys simple books with great pictures. Nothing too long!
Some of his favorites are "The Way I Feel" and pretty much any Dr. Seuss book.
Any suggestions?

Curious George board books are perfect. Not the big hard covers or soft covers. The small thick board books. Simple easy to understand and he enjoys the stories. (3 in sept).
You might already have these but the Little Blue Truck books are great. Llama Llama books. Sandra Boynton.

Agree with Little Blue Truck books. Also Goodnight Goodnight Construction Site. Also, at this age mine liked the Little Golden Books with Thomas or Paw Patrol stories.

My kid turns 3 in September. His favorites are the Usborne word books, Curious George, any books that take nursery rhyme songs he knows into book form (Itsy Bitsy, Twinkle Twinkle, Puff the Magic Dragon, etc). He can sing and visualize what he's singing and he loves it. Sandra Boynton books.

There's a daytime version of Construction Site that we really like. Also How to Train a Train and How to Track a Truck are fun. My DD loves the Little Green Peas books (LMNO Peas, 123 Peas, Hap-pea All Year, etc.).
Also, I'm lol-ing a little bit because Dr. Seuss books seem sooooo long to me, but my kid loves them so what can you do?

@bubblegum: For the last year we've had the routine of reading DD 6 books at bedtime...which was great until she moved up to picture books and 5-minute stories. Now she'll bring me "Green Ham" and Horton and Cat in the Hat and I'm just like umm...those books are already sleeping. 
I can handle one, maybe two, but more than that and I need a huge glass of water to read them all. And to start our bedtime routine an extra hour earlier!

@helloperidot: Hahahaha I totally hear you!! DS always brings both Cat In The Hat books because he loves the way DH acts it out and then has the nerve to ask them both to be read again! lol not happening kid!

We are big Pete the Cat fans in our house. And the Rumble in the Jungle, Commotion in the Ocean...I feel like there's one more in there. Giraffes Can't Dance is fun.

We love so many of the books listed above. I would also suggest easy readers, especially if he has favorite characters. Favorites at our house are Daniel Tiger and Biscuit books.

My son also loved the Eric Carle Brown Bear and Polar Bear books.

We really like books by Michael Dahl, like little dinos don't bite, little tiger picks up ... all are quick easy reads with a moral. My 7 year old struggling readers can read them to their 4 yr old sister. We borrow ours from the library.

We also like the Disney Little Golden Books. The older movies are long, but the books on the newer movies aren't too bad. We have been reading the Toy Story ones a lot because that is his current Disney obsession.

@bookwormmama: OMG, my kids LOVE I Want My Hat Back! They'll be playing and not paying attention while I read it and as soon as I get to the confrontation page, they both stop what they are doing to yell "You!! You stole my hat!!"

@Adira: that's my son's favorite part, too! The stare down page is hilarious! If you haven't read "This is Not My Hat" definitely try. It's great and the illustrations do a great job telling the story.

You've got a lot of great suggestions here, but in the Dr. Seuss vein - my 3 yo gets a huge kick out of Hand Hand Fingers Thumb. It's silly and it has lot of rhymes he loves.

Anything by Mo Willems, especially the Pigeon books.
The How do Dinosaurs...? books
Any and all of the Usborne lift the flap books - we read the peek inside ones together and she then enjoys "reading" the see inside ones.
I love the Christie Matheson interactive books - Touch the Brightest Star, Tap the Magic Tree and Plant the Tiny Seed.
The Marmaduke Duck books are a huge hit with DD and the kids in the preschool Mum used to teach. They aren't available on Amazon but are available on abe books.
