Lately almost all the parties we have been to have had books as party favors which I love but I don't want to spend a couple hundred dollars on favors. Anyone done this? Where do you get cheap books from?

@travellingbee: Dollar store! I'll take a book over little junk any day.

Look for sets of paperbacks on Amazon, then break up the sets! I've gotten Curious George and Olivia books for $1.50/book or less!

We just did this for B's birthday - we got some 4 book Paw Patrol box sets on Amazon and wrapped them individually.

Target often does those easy readers for $3, depending on how many kids you need to buy for that's not too bad. Little Critter books are $2 and change on Amazon, so you could just search around and see what's in your budget.

@Boogs: We have those actually. They are very tiny books so I'm not sure about them as favors. (Like 5 pages each). But I am going to look on amazon for some more sets.

We did these ones for B's third birthday - they're good quality, decent for toddlers/beginner readers. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/0553507966/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1487899002&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=paw+patrol+books

@travellingbee: They definitely have other sets. Another place I thought that I've found Little Golden Books in mint condition is thrift stores. Goodwill usually has tons.

We have this box set, and it was a huge hit at around 2.5yo. $15 for 10 books.

I found some "I can read" sets on Amazon that are super heros and Disney so I'm going to get those! Thanks everyone!
