I think I've seen an episode!! The lady birthed her baby in a river on to a submerged yoga mat. Seemed really unsanitary to me.

Yep I'm watching it. It seems really irresponsible to me...even the midwives who help them seem like they are very uncomfortable with participating in it.

I can't bring myself to watch it. As a nicu nurse I just can't wrap my head around the reasoning for this when I know how badly things can go with no nearby help. Ugh.

To my modern self, it seems bizarre, but it wasn't that long ago that this would not be considered crazy or abnormal.

I'm trying to imagine taking a nature walk an accidentally happening upon someone's birthing tent. I wonder how common this is in my community as it is a very outdoors-y place.

I watched a few clips and.... no. It makes me cringe. I like the one where she says, "Camping is not fun. It's uncomfortable, and I just want to go home."
It made me laugh because I felt like I had all these images of myself giving birth as beautiful and what I wanted it to be like and what kind of music etc. and in the moment I was just like, "AHHHH! Make the pain stop!!" and didn't give a bleep who was there or what was going on. -
The commercials I've seen have made me cringe...I don't think I could watch an episode.
I just don't understand why anyone would want to do this. lol

Same, @ValentineMommy, my H and I were watching something and the commercial for this show played almost every commercial break. Every time, we were like, "Ahhhh, whyyyy?!?" I don't think I could handle the actual show, haha.
