DD loves the color red - and can consistently pick it out at age 4 - but he also has a strong preference for drawing in black. Black pen, black marker, black crayon - even when we're doing watercolors! I think they just like the high contrast from an early age.

For awhile DS loved yellow, but now he tends to color with red. He too loves the black watercolor paint color!

@T.H.O.U.: Color blind is usually with primary colors like red and green
I bet he chooses the black because it shows up the best
So he can see the effect of crayon to paper best
