Ugh! DH buys things all the time for LO without telling me what he’s going to get or show up on our doorstep. Some things I would have never thought of my self (polar bear soccer ball and a net that cheers when you make a goal) and others that I would have substituted (Elmo life skills books and a tent). I am trying to make lemonade out of lemons. The tent arrived while DH is OOT, I set it up and styled it out. When I bring this up I get one of two things a) I can buy him whatever I like whenever and b) I researched this and it’s the best/ you want the other option for bad reasons. Sure on a, but if we don’t consult then we may have duplicate items. I hate the Elmo Potty and Toothbrushing books. LO cannot handle pop up books at this time and either gets frustrated with it or downright destroys them. Waste of money.

Don’t parents usually consult on things like this?
