If you had to choose between two convertible car seats would you choose the easy zip off cover for easy cleaning or the easy install option. All other major safety and weight limits are equal and price point is only 10$ different. Iniusy don't know which trigger to pull on this decision!

How often will you uninstall and reinstall the seats? If they will stay in the car most of the time, I would get the easy off cover! My experience in cleaning car seats after being thrown up on was so frustrating!
Eta: what makes it an easy install? I'm a little uneducated about some of these features!

Easy instillation, especially if you have to move it a lot.

Easy install. I'm terrible at installing car seats, and my kids have never made a big enough mess that some baby wipes and sun didn't clean it up.

I'm not sure how often we will be installing/uninstalling it. I assume my DH will eventually get a convertible for his car, so if that's the case, this may answer my dilemma.
It is the click tight version from Britax so it is just a very simple install process from what I can tell. -
Easier installation means it is more likely that you will have the CORRECT installation, which in turn means your LO will be safer.

@sunset840: we have a Britax marathon CT and a frontier CT. LOVE!!! So easy to install and super comfy for my kids. Love the fabrics too. I don't think the covers would be too hard to clean. The marathon comes off in 3 pieces/areas of the seat so you can clean one specific area at a time if needed. No questions asked I would get another clicktight in a second!

Easy install definitely. A car seat isn't worth much if it isn't installed correctly every time!

Easy installation. Since we can't afford to have a car-seat in each car, this makes it more feasible to switch it to the other car on occasion. Also makes traveling so much less stressful!

We have a Britax CT seat and love it. The fabric is sort of silky so it's really easy to wipe off. We haven't had to take off the whole thing yet but I don't think it would be that hard.

If you're not moving it around a lot, easy cover removal. DD puked all over our Diono and it was a PITA to take off the cover and also clean in the nooks and crannies

I've never had to take our cover off to clean it, but I love that it's so easy to move it around and install in other cars. I don't give her messy snacks and definitely no milk in the car, and luckily have never had to deal with vomit. So I vote easy install
However I'm wondering if you are talking about the chicco nextfit zip off cover? The nextfit is super easy to install with latch, just FYI. We have the regular one and love it, but bought it before the new britax ones came out.

@PurplePeony: Just curious to which CT you have? We have the marathon in twilight and it is not silky a silky material at all. More like an adult car seat material, but DS's frontier CT is the silky kind.

We have a britax with clicktight, and I seriously love it.

@anbanan15: we have the Advocate in the black/gray color scheme. The black fabric almost feels like the spandex material that my old dance costumes were made of, haha. The gray fabric is bumpier though. But the only messy stuff we've dealt with (pouch explosions) have gotten on the black and it's been a cinch to clean up.

Easy install...there's been more times than I predicted where I needed to install it by myself. I love the rigid latch on our foonf. I have yet to need to clean it.
