So any new mamas care to share their experiences? We just put our crib in the nursery this weekend and one of our cats jumped in to make himself at home twice. A couple coins in can shakes and he's out and hasn't gone back in. How did your cats take to your newborn/and their things?

Aluminum paper. We put some in the crib and on the changing table. They went in once and got so scared they never went back

@blushnink- Smart! I however had not had to deal with this yet, but thats a good idea. I have used foil for on doors and what not to stop them from clawing. Worked for that so why not for baby room too!

the cats never went in the cribs. you can also spray them with a water bottle -- that usually teaches them pretty quick!

I use the waterbottle too. Works great unless we arent in the room. They will still get in to things and only run down or stop if they see us with it. Smart little ones! Grrr!
