Are small, but asymmetrical and growing moles normal for a five-year-old? DS has a whole bunch, and most of them sprouted up in the last year or two. On one hand, I'm kind of freaked out, because he spends a lot of time in the sun (but he's never been sunburned). On the other hand, I'm covered with funny-shaped moles myself, and I assume they sprouted up at some point, but I just tend to get really freckly and spotted in my old age so they don't really seem like anything unusual. I don't think I had many at five, though!

I'm waffling about seeing a dermatologist - if this is nothing, I really don't want to freak DS out, and possibly make him get unnecessary testing.
