Ugh. My dog has been waking me at 6:30, then 6, then 5:30, and now 5:15!!
He wants water and to go out. We give him water in the evening and he goes out before bed, what gives?!
At this point, I'm almost like pee on the floor, I don't care, let me sleeeeeeep, because I haven't been able to fall back asleep afterward.

Does he not have access to water all the time? We leave it down 24/7 for our animals. The going out part, yeah, I would make my husband do that. My dog only asks to go out early if she is sick though.

@avivoca: no, he drinks everything we give him, whether that be a bowl or a gallon, he's always been like that since he was a puppy. Zero self regulation lol

My dog was asking to go out early for a long time and we found out she had UTI and then bladder stones

If this just started with needing to go out earlier and earlier, I would suspect maybe a UTI. No way am I hauling my butt out of bed to let the dog out in the middle of the night.

Hmm, maybe a trip to the vet is in order! I'm not sure if it's solely for bathroom breaks or if he's just being a nosy butt. He is the unofficial neighborhood watch 🙄

Our dog got Cushings and did this. It got way worse, but started like this. May want to take him in.

I second taking your pup into the vet. I also have a friend whose dog has Cushings and is always so thirsty. When new behaviors crop up like this, it's best to get them okayed by the vet.

Ours has been peeing all the time lately. I think we're taking her in this week to get checked out, because a) it's worrying, and b) it's annoying!!
