Any tips on how to ease an infant's nasal congestion? And how long until it goes away??
It just breaks my heart to hear my lo all nasally but it's not affecting her eating....I frequently use saline drips and nose frida on her (which she hates) and it provides some temporary relief...

I sit with LO, in the bathroom with the shower running so the steam can break up some of the congestion. I also use baby Vicks on her for every nap and at night. Love that stuff.

Bump?!? I need any additional suggestions. My next step is the couch so he can sleep upright. Already did a 3 am shower.

@T.H.O.U.: what we've been doing is steam shower, then nose frida frequently and hold upright whenever possible (including sleeping)...she still is congested but we are making progress...how long has you lo been congested? Hope he feels better soon!!!

My LO hangs out in the bathroom when I shower and she gets some good sneezes out. Overall she just sounds really snorty but as long as she is not in distress trying to breath or having problems eating I just let her do her snorty newborn thing. Maybe I'm a horrible mother and need to be more snot aggressive!

@butterbean: last night was only night 2 but he's been up from like 1-3 congested and last night wouldn't even nurse because he couldn't breath.

@MenagerieMama: that's what our ped said too...the best we can do is try to help her be comfortable while nursing (the congestion doesn't seen to affect her feeding so I'm not too worried)
@T.H.O.U.: have you tried nose frida? I'm surprised at the snot that I suck out thru that thing...

@butterbean: yes. We have it but I can't do it. So that doesn't help much at night. I also think why he's so awake is cleaning his nose wakes him up
