C has had a little cold for almost a week. It's really not bad as far as illnesses go, just runny nose (bothers me way more than her), occasional coughing during the day, but more coughing during the night. During the day I'm just using the saline spray when she seems exta congested, and the snot sucker a couple of times when it seemed really uncomfortable- she hates it so I reserve it for when it's needed.

But at night she coughs more and it sounds terrible- though it hardly wakes her. Tonight I put baby Vicks on her feet under her socks, and borrowed a friends humidifier. Are there any other tricks to help her feel better at night? Raising the head of the crib isn't an option because she is a crazy girl all over her crib before settling down so her head would end up on the wrong end anyway.

Also with the humidifier, should it feel drastically more humid? Went in there an hour after she went to sleep and it's a bit more humid but not dramatic.

Thanks!
