So..first month off bcp. I unfortunately have little experience with a "real" cycle.
On CD #11 & 12 (sat & sun) we had sex but he pulled out. On CD#13 (Monday) we did twice, no pull out. Monday, Tuesday and today (cd 13-15) I've had period like cramps.
I was under the impression that o pain was a twinge. Anyone been here that could explain? Or have an idea when I might actually have ovulated?

my first month off of bcp i had similar cramping off and on from O through AF
it was less the 2nd month, and has now all but gone away (but i do still feel a "pinch" or "twinge" when i O)

For both pregnancies I had cramps intense the first month. It could be due to the stopping the pill but could be because your body is doing something it's not suppose too. Good luck

This is my first month off BC too and I also started temping to see if my cycle was regular. Around the time my temps spiked I had period like cramps too. I also had light bleeding/spotting. Since it happened around ovulation I know it's not implantation bleeding... Not really sure what that was but I def attribute it to going off BC. I vaguely remember o pain and that was more like ur ovary getting poked by a needle. Hope that helps!

Ovulation pain can last seconds, as a twinge, or days for some women. It could be your body getting used to ovulating again.

thanks for the replies! I googled and it seems to be normal, but now I'm wondering which of the 3 days might have been ovulation! I've been sucky with temping -- different times & missing days -- so I can't really base off charting, haha. Oh well -- now ill know for next month if I get bfn!

@jnango-in my "googling" I came across that some women do spot from ovulation so I think that's normal too

My ovulation cramps felt like period cramps - usually just for a day, but I was always kind of crampy around ovulation time (and a few days after). Good luck!

My ovulation cramps come off as twinges or sometimes mild cramps. They're nothing like the awful ones I feel during AF. The AF ones make me want to stab myself sometimes because they're that intense. With TTC, I can't use my favorite Advil pain reliever. Tylenol doesn't have the same immediate pain relief that my Advil has.

I'm using clear blue easy ovulation tests and got a smiley face on last Saturday. I've been having cramps on and off until today. I assume its my body getting used to being off the pill. Although I wish it was from implantation! This is my first cycle since coming off of BC.

Hmm interesting! So I wonder if I ovulated Monday instead of fertility friend's estimated Tuesday.. If so, and if we get a BFP, I'll bet it's a boy! DH wants a girl so we tried for the 2 days before O thing I'd love a mommas boy though. If this cycle is BFN I'll be much more careful charting in Dec!
