Ugh - J has been awake for 6 hours and is (obviously) a mess. We're at a reception (sort of like a wake) for my grandmother who died last weekend. He's nursing right now and I'm going to put him in the becco and hopefully he'll sleep. M also missed her nap for this, so she's a disaster too. I'm really dreading the rest of the evening

@josina: that's exactly why I didn't want to do it. But I surprised myself by keeping up. Hopefully it's something I'm able to continue.

J ended up being awake from 10:15am - 7pm today. omg. There were so many people at my grandma's service and he just would not sleep. I'm a little worried he's going to wake up all night because he's all messed up.... and we have another busy day visiting cousins tomorrow! Usually I'm the queen of trying to protect the naps at all costs, but this weekend just had all these things we couldn't miss. Oh well!

@FaithFertility: @MrsF: Sounds like none of these babies wanted to sleep today, E only took two thirty minutes naps today! Hope we get extra long stretches tonight!
I think he may be sick, was spitting up again all day, and three dirty diapers which is two more than normal for him. Mostly happy though so hopefully just a quick bug, probably what the daycare kids were dealing with last weekend.
Oh, and E clamped down and pulled today when nursing, not cool!

@josina: ouch!
Sorry about your naps as well and I hope you got some sleep! (J did fairly well)

G was up 3 times last night 3rd was due to a BM so cant blame her soo not too bad but we usually have 1 wake up and she was stirring around a lot but went back to sleep many times thank gosh!
Today so far she seems happy
MIL rant she always calls to come over and wants to know if baby is awake and happy?? To come see her, I mean I can't control her mood or if she will get tired in the next hour I tell her come now but that will be 30 mins in her world....sorry she is a baby ..lol

@winniebee: yeah. It's great to be with family and keep busy (especially for big sister), but I'm kind of glad to be heading in to the week to get things back on schedule here. M can't really sleep in the car any more either, so she was particularly disastrous

I posted a separate thread detailing K's weekend. I just want her to feel better. I struggle when either of my kids are less than healthy. And I'm tired of cleaning dirty car seats! Hope everyone has a great start to the week tomorrow!

Why doesn't my baby sleep anymore??!!?? We did so well with the crib translation last week- she was Sttn and it was great. Saturday night she went to bed at 9 and woke up at 1 and wouldn't sleep unless I was holding her. So I sat on the couch all night and held her. Last night was the same thing- but she just kept crying.... I am so tired today and super sick too.

I'm so behind on this thread!!
@MamaG: I'm so impressed with your roller! Logan still hasn't rolled one way or the other yet!
@Miss Ariel: 18 oz seems like a lot! How many hours is she at daycare? One of my lactation consultants told me that babies drank 20% more than normal when drinking from a bottle, so she may not actually NEED that much (and probably doesn't need more than that).
@FaithFertility: So cute in her highchair!!
@cheert16: 4 month regression?

MIL drama rears its ugly head again. Got scathing email from her about how's she's disappointed in how we treat her. Backstory: DH parents divorced. His dad lives in Hawaii and mom lives in ATL. Daves dad called and said he was booking flight for Bs bday. Cool, we haven't seen them in 2 years. MIL calls and says she wants to come and brin Her on again fling, who happens to be an old family friend. She has never told her ex husband they are whatever they are doing and I don't think a 2 year olds party is the time to break the news. So, we told MiL lots of people will be at Bs bday, why not come another weekend? My parents are coming the week before because they want to see the kids but not deal with so many people. MIL never cared about coming to any of his other bdays, so I have no idea why the drama now... Ugh...

@BandDmommy: So wait... did you basically tell MIL not to come to B's birthday party? That FIL and other people will be at? I could see why that would upset her if FIL is going to be at the party and you told her not to come... though I totally understand wanting to avoid the drama!
pomelo / 5660 posts
@Adira: my parents won't be there.. FIL is bringing his GF and family. It's a kids party at gym, same thing we did last year that NO ONE came to.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@BandDmommy: Oh, I see, so not a family party! And given that she wasn't interested in coming to his other parties, it's annoying she's making a big deal about this one. I'm guessing she's making a big deal just because FIL will be there (unless she doesn't know that?). But that sucks. In-law drama is the worst.

@Adira: she knows he will be there. It's just so crazy, we begged her to come for xmas and wouldn't come...

I am so behind too! I didn't get on once this weekend! I shall reply slowly...
@FaithFertility: Aww I am sorry G has been fussier! 4 mo is a big leap so I think some days they're just working on some things internally. It will get better! And your high chair picture totally reminded me to tell DH to set up K's! I've been holding her on my lap when we eat, or putting her in her lion seat... She LOVES watching us eat! Like, obsessed staring! And we tell her what we're eating!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@BandDmommy: blahhhhh of course she wants to come now and flaunt her fling......stinky drama!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: You rock for keeping on trying! What we have going on lately works so I don't even want to think about sleep training or changing it up. I'm such a procrastinator!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MrsF: Glad you had a date night! Def much needed as our little ones are so all over the place lately with everything! (which I totally get, they are all reaching such big milestones!)
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Miss Ariel: I think 18 is fine! K eats 6 times within a 24 hr period, 3 of those are bottles are she does 12-15.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MrsF: Don't beat yourself up! You guys really had a full plate! He might be fussy but it will get back to normal!

@MamaG: I am so sorry! I will go read that thread and respond there!
