@josina: Glad you have a plan. Hope his infections are over with for awhile though. E & M are pretty close in weight, but E is longer! Hoping M slows down some now that he wants to crawl 24/7. lol
@MamaG: WTG K!

We had a super busy day yesterday , G had a ball such a trooper and so happy through it all!
Birthday party, our first carousel ride, dinner in West Palm beach home way past bed time but she passed right out and STTN until 6:40!
People at party couldn't believe all her tricks... lol waving, saying no, hand up , she might not be mobile but she is working hard on her social skills
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@josina: That's great that you have a plan in place! My nephew had tubes and 0 issues after that...scary to think about any procedure I'm sure, but tube procedures have very good outcomes!
@FaithFertility: So cute! What a social lady!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MamaG: R has become a pacifier junkie, too. I'm not sure if it's teeth or boredom or what but if he finds one, he wants to have it...quiet as a mouse with it in his mouth! I want to really just limit for going to sleep, but I'm also too lazy to take it away
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
I had my first night away from R on Friday - an overnight girls night where I consumed far too much alcohol and stayed up far too late! It was really fun, though.
R is super fast crawling and pulling up...no waving, clapping or teeth though! Says dada all the time...also lots of baba.
New nanny started last week and it was pretty chaotic because I was working from home and she had both kids. I was pretty emotional about it all week. I'm not sure it's the right move for us....I would prefer to have R in daycare, I think. It's hard for me knowing R is getting so much one on one time...plus no supervision of that person in your house (well, me....but the point is that I shouldn't be involved when she is here). I'm still nursing him before naps while she is here, so that sort of complicates things (and also makes it so I don't have to pump). She keeps the house spotless and does the kids' laundry so I'm grateful for that. R he can't go to Ty's school until next June so I think I'm just going to push ahead with this arrangement of the next 9 months. And if we're done having kids will just put Ryan in Ty's school 2-3 days a week...and if not, maybe put Ryan in school 2 days and keep her 2 days.

@winniebee: So fun!!!!!
I think your feelings are normal when you have a nanny my sister works for a WAHM and when her son was younger he is 11 months now...she was involved a lot too...nursing, naps...etc....ahw said during those times she would clean, which sounds like yours does!

@winniebee: girls night sounds divine! Same thoughts on the nanny. I think it just takes awhile to get used to a new person...plus having a good experience at daycare focuses you in on all of the good sides of that! I'd love to have E at a center for 2-3 half days a week but all of the places here with infant care only do full time. Bummer. So we will probably make do with babysitters until next school year she can go to the same preschool as K. In the meantime, it will be super nice for you to not have to pack food or milk, no pumping, and extra cleaning!!
@faithfertility: what a ham!

@FaithFertility: She is such a cutie!
@winniebee: Glad girls night was so fun. I went & got a pedicure with my BFF yesterday & left M with DH. It's nice to have a couple hours to yourself once in awhile..
Crawling all the time here and going from sitting to crawling super quick now. No waving, clapping or teeth here either. (he has bumps in his gums but no teeth....taking forever!)
nectarine / 2210 posts
No teeth here either. Although it looks like she has 2 in her upper gums that are about to come through. No waving or clapping yet although she's super mobile. Her recent accomplishment is being able to pull up and crawl while still holding a toy in one hand.
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@AngelicOne: E's weight definetly slowed now that's he's mobile!
@FaithFertility: Aww. Yay for her sttn and her awesome 'social skills'. It is so cool that she knows no already!
@winniebee: fun girls night! Hopefully with a little time the nanny will get easier? I think it is all hard to deal with at first! And yay for her keeping the house extra clean!
E is pulling to stand all the time now and he is constantly falling and hitting things! He has a bruise on his cheek from a bed post and a bump on his head from a wall, which replaced yesterday's bump from his changing table. No matter how close I am he's getting beat up. Hopefully he gets more gracefull soon!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@josina: @josina she knows it so well that when you talk in conversation and say no or know she will shake her head...lol cracks us up!
G is a weeble wooble and falls all day long, bumps marks I truly can't keep up I don't want to interfere with her learning , but geez kid
honeydew / 7283 posts
@josina: I hope that he doesn't need tubes, but glad that you have a good plan if you get there! And poor little guy getting banged up... J isn't pulling to stand yet but we're in for it when he does!
@MamaG: I can't believe these super physical babies! She's going to be walking any day! And I love that your girls are cheering each other on - so sweet
honeydew / 7283 posts
@FaithFertility: Sounds like a fun day And I'm impressed with her tricks too! J is still not mobile either (and doesn't have nearly as many tricks ). She's such a cutie!
@winniebee: So glad you got a night away! That sounds like a blast... I'm sorry the nanny transition has been challenging. Our part time nanny is starting soon and I'm so stressed about it. We don't really have another option because my schedule is so variable and our commutes are terrible. I think September is going to be a hard month..
honeydew / 7283 posts
J is trying so hard to crawl but not there yet! He gets himself up in a super high "plank" position but doesn't get his knees underneath him. He can sort of scoot forwards (especially if he wants to chew on an electric cord!) but no real crawling. he would much rather be vertical - lots of trying to pull up but not there yet.
One more tooth though - he's up to SEVEN! He's going to eat us all under the table.
honeydew / 7444 posts
@MrsF: omg 7 teeth! A only has his two. He crawls but it's a weird amputee crawl. Neither of my kids crawl properly. Haha
@winniebee: your girls night sounds heavenly! It sounds like having a nanny is working out well. I think it will feel normal after a month...it's just been one week, after all.
@FaithFertility: sounds like such a cute ham! I feel like all of our December babies are social bugs.
Okay ladies, is this thread going to reach 10,000 pages?? Are we going to start a new thread? It's sometimes so daunting to come here because I can't keep up!!

@MrsF: Ohhh the plank...we plank then face plant
The teeth CRAZY!
@Freckles: we are a chatty board for sure, maybe a new board around 1yr?!?
Sitter is closed today so G gets a whole day with my sister talk about convkence her boss and family are OOT

@MrsF: Wow, that's a lot of teeth!
No new updates with us besides D is using the walker as her mode of transportation. She loves following her brother in it. I guess a big first is she had her first slice of pizza. LOL. I wasn't going to give it to her but she pointed and grunted until I gave her some. Then she happily sucked away at it. An elderly woman was sitting next to us and she could not get enough of D. We FaceTimed with my parents last night and D showed off all her tricks. When she saw grandma and papa, first she danced, then she waved and then she clapped. Such a show-off. LOL. Her brother was playing behind her and she had a blast. B is sooo protective of D it's hilarious. He also says in a high pitch voice when he sees her "I love you Darcy" and runs and hugs her. He also makes sure she constantly has a toy and if she cries he gets so upset and has to help her. I love to see them bonding.

@BandDmommy: We should facetime.....lol they would love it
I love the sibling bonding!

@BandDmommy: That Halloween costume is adorable! Can't wait to see a picture of her in it!
@FaithFertility: People just love to jump in and offer unwanted advice! Boo!
@MamaG: OMG - I can't believe she can balance and walk a little holding your hand!! Logan's no where close to that yet.
@FaithFertility: Holy crap, so skilled! Logan can't do any of those things!!
@winniebee: Jealous of your girl's night!! Did you have to pump at all while you were out?
@josina: He's definitely not going to get more graceful. Xander's 2.5 and is covered in bumps and bruises from running/jumping/falling.
@MrsF: Logan does the same as J! He can get up in the plank, but can't get his knees beneath him yet. Mostly he pushes himself backwards - very few forward movement yet.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
Not much new with Logan. He got to meet a couple of his great grandparents on my side this weekend, which was fun. He also took his first big boy bath in the bath tub! I put him in with Xander and they both loved taking a bath together! Score!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
I'll probably take this down later, but here's that picture of Xander and Logan that I had to spend $$$ to get the digital copy of, haha.

@josina: The good thing is that I mostly read all positive stories on tubes too so should he need them, they might really help! And E is such a big boy!
@MamaG: That video is seriously so cute and funny!
@FaithFertility: Awesome with STTN! K is totally opposite! She is pretty fast on her mobile skills (I think b/c she is motivated to get places haha), but slower on imitating! She high gives and waves, but still not into clapping!
@winniebee: Hopefully with time you feel more comfortable! I agree with your thought process; that if it's just for 9 mo maybe this is best instead of going to one center then switching. And total bonus that she cleans and does laundry! I need one of those! And so cool you got a mama's night out. You looked good
@MrsF: Wow he pretty much has a whole mouthful, lol! That's awesome!
@BandDmommy: I need to see some B and D love on IG! They are too cute
@Adira: Ahh look at him smile so big! Super love
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
Haha should we hang in this thread for a while longer and start a fresh one for 1st birthdays and on? I cannot believe we're almost at 10k comments haha, we're one chatty bunch!
K's 3rd tooth came in on the top! I had been so busy watching the one next to it since it poked out a little bit, I completely did not see this one just come out overnight?!
K says mama now (yes, mama, no dada, muahah), and I know it's for me! So obsessed And she really displayed some separation anxiety for me this weekend, just me though. Again, muahaha, I don't mind! I am seriously over the moon that she only wants me, wants to be stuck to me all the time, haha. Am I crazy?! Still not stranger anxiety at all though!
K easily pulls up now, and currently practicing cruising. She finally also master sitting down on her butt so she's not falling over and hitting things! That way I feel better about leaving her in the crib and she won't just fall all over the place hitting her head now.
pomelo / 5298 posts
@MrsF: We are right behind you in teeth. K has six and I know she's working on more. She messes with her ears (bats at them) and chews her bottom lip when she's teething. I saw a lot of both of those activities this weekend. She gets pretty irritated if I try to look in her mouth or stick a finger in to feel her gums.
I really need to get one of those little fingertip toothbrush things.
Yesterday's drama in our house - snack time! C was sitting on the floor at a little table with a bowl of goldfish crackers. K was pissed that she didn't have some too. I tried to give her some puffs. That only made her more mad. She wanted C's goldfish!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: Haha, this happens all the time in our house, but with me and her lol. I was having a cookie so I gave her some yogurt drops, she took those AND literally snatched the cookie out of my hands!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@MrsF: Wow to 7 teeth! We're at 4 but maybe I should check to see if he's working on any more!
@Freckles: I think we tried a new 6 month thread but didn't get switched over?
@BandDmommy: Soooo cute about B and D.
@Adira: lol... I better get used to the bumps and bruises now then! He is a boy! Cute picture and great smiles!!
@snowjewelz: Aww, I can't wait till E says mama/dada and means it, I think we're still at jibberish. And yes, the only-wanting-mommy is nice! Have to soak that up while we can!!
Weird night/morning for E. Bed at 8, back up from 10 till 12(!), nursed at 4, then up at 5:15 with dad, tried nursing back to sleep at 6 and he just cried and cried. Finally back to sleep around 6:30 after some tylenol. I'm not sure if he was over-tired or maybe sore throat? Luckily DH was off this morning for an afternoon interview, and we just let E sleep for awhile. I guess he was fine when he woke-up and is at daycare now.
pomegranate / 3973 posts
A friend had mentioned the chiro, and now SIL said she used a chiro as well. I just made sure DH was on board with tubes so if they (SIL/MIL) try pushing that on me I have back-up! The Bee was pretty anti-chiro and tubes are overwhelmingly positive so I'd rather listen to the dr. on this one.

@Freckles: I love how chatty this thread is! It's hard to keep up but I love that you girls are a part of my daily life! . A new thread around first birthdays makes sense.
@FaithFertility: so great that your sister can fill in. I bet she and G both love it!
@BandDmommy: such sweet siblings
@Adira: the baths together are a game-changer! Saves time and both kids love it over here! Such a great picture of your two boys
@snowjewelz: glad K has learned to fall more gracefully
@MamaG: J chews on his lower lip when he's teething too. I hope she gets through the next tooth easily!
J gets SO angry when someone is eating something around him. Of course this happens all the time. He definitely makes his opinions known! Especially if I try to give him his water cup when he really wants more food. He freaks out and pushes it away.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@josina: sorry about the long night that's good that he could sleep in this morning!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@MrsF: He picked a good night though since DH had off work... he was up with him from 10-12 then at 5 till 6. So at least I still got sleep!
Daycare said he was gassy and had a blowout, (2nd today) so hopefully was just tummy troubles.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@josina: Aww! It sucks when they can't tell us whats wrong! At I'm glad he had the blowout at daycare lol!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@snowjewelz: lol... her exact words were 'massive blowout' so yes, glad it was there!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@josina: awwwe hopefully that was his issue, and he got some relief
pomegranate / 3973 posts
E was fine last night but did not want to go to bed last night, finally down at 10 but only 1 wake-up.
Just scheduled the ENT consult and I'm nervous about it! Ahhh, how will I do the ACTUAL surgery?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@josina: Is the ENT for tubes? Don't worry!!! It's really quickly and painless!! I've known a few kids who've had to get tubes and they did really well and were a lot healthier after. It'll be fine!
