@FaithFertility: K does 6-10 at home already, at daycare she does 6-11 But she is still super tired in the afternoon for her 2nd nap...

@snowjewelz: OK then maybe she is pushing her times longer
She naps 12-1:30/2 at daycare and is so sleepy at night but won't go down until 7:30

@FaithFertility: Exactly the same, Ethan will sleep with us, but does not want to be in his crib, and stands up and screams till I get him. I'm fine letting him fuss it out, but the standing/screaming isn't worth it to me.. yet.
I wish E would go down as early as everyone elses babes... He's more like 8:30-9 if I'm lucky. Saturday/Sunday he had 1 nap but usually at daycare he takes 2. He's usually up at 6:30.

@josina: awww hahah I at these moments wish G would sleep in bed with us but she usually won't fall asleep!
It will pass I am sure as it always does right?!...lol

Of course since I talked about her nap... DH said it's almost 4pm and she refuse to nap. She napped from like 10-12 today. I said uh oh.. Maybe she really does want to drop to 1 nap

@snowjewelz: go for it! it's nice to at least have the option to skip it if you want. if you are home and it's easy, i still put E down.
E had her one year visit today. went fine, although the 3 shots + prick were not her favorite. also, she has an ear infection, which is probably where the 102 fever came from last week (although fine since) and her random night wakings the last 2 nights. good to (hopefully!) have the answer. DH called us parents of the year for not realizing, but i countered that her check engine light must not work, so i can't be held accountable

@KayKay: so she can go back and forth between 1 or 2 naps depending? That sounds like a good idea! I truly am sooo ready for 1 nap haha. But that 1 nap better be long so I can get some stuff done!
Ear infections are the hardest to tell! Glad you happen to be going in for a check up to find out!

@KayKay: I'm discovering that ear infections are a colossal pain in the ass. We never dealt with them with C. Now that K has had them back to back, I still can't identify them. Her's don't come with a fever. And when they are one and cranky from teeth, how are you supposed to know it's their ears that's making them cranky? She eats and sleeps fine! I won't be surprised if I get told she has another one (or still has one) at our well visit tomorrow.

@snowjewelz: We've been on one nap for awhile. After being home all of last week, K can nap for 2-3 hours without a problem. They tend to be shorter at times at daycare. C will still take a 2'ish hour nap as well. And the heavens sing in our house now that their naps line up. I won't say that I'm productive, but it's nice to get a break.

@snowjewelz: @mamag: yeah, i just figured it was some combination of teething + learning to walk + separation anxiety + (slowly) weaning that was all leading to the symptoms we had seen. but the doc did actually gave me the option to treat with antibiotics or just wait. the main drivers of my decision to treat were that it seems like it's probably been going on for almost a week (so less likely she could kick it on her own?) AND, more importantly, with the holiday coming up, i have zero desire to take a chance and end up at urgent care later in the week!
i don't actually feel that bad about missing it because she hasn't seemed obviously symptomatic, so i figure she must not feel awful. even her wakeups are somewhere in between blabbing to herself and wimpy hollers/cries. i'd feel worse (or, rather, i probably would've caught on sooner) if she was screaming all the time or seemed in obvious pain!
@snowjewelz: yeah, if we are out and about, she is usually stimulated enough to skip her morning nap. if we are home, she gets bored/grumpy, so i usually put her down. if she does skip it, the afternoon one is typically 3 hours!

@KayKay: Wow, nice with the naps, G seems to be pretty flexible too!

@BandDmommy: good luck on the drive! we were almost going to be in Atlanta this week too, 8 hour drive for us. But since dh has tickets to the lsu football game were staying home, although my inlaws are still going.

Ryan's still on 2 naps. Some days morning nap is only 40 mins and afternoon is 2 hours. Some days it's 1.5 hours and afternoon is 1.5 hours. Some days they are both 40 mins. I figure as long as he is taking the morning nap without any issue, I'll let him.
So, last week I found out I"m pregnant. But I'm pretty sure it's another miscarriage. My HCG levels are quite low for having known I'm pregnant for 4 days (only 19). I'm really bummed about this. I'm worried that 2 m/c in a row is what fertility at 35 looks like for me.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@KayKay: I think that's a good guess. My doctor said nursing while pregnant isn't a problem but I guess you have to stay pregnant first. We are down to 3x but still I'm sure my hormones are whacky.

Totally dropped g off at her sitters early, girl was bonkers at 5:30 ready to start her day well by 7 she was exhausted..... so I dropped her off to hopefully nap there and came back home to get ready for work

@faithfertility: ha! i wish i could drop the girls off early when they have early starts to their day but school won't open the doors before 9! also, dropping her off before getting ready? brilliant.

@KayKay: Right?!?!? She opens at 7:15, I kinda thought ummm..why haven't I done this before?!?

Ty was up at 2 to pee. Ryan from 4-5:45 for no apparent reason. Ty up for day at 6:15. Adding insult to injury, my pregnancy test this morning was basically negative. Just waiting for it to happen now.
Luckily, we have so much going on over the next month. Ryan birthday, closing on new home, moving, then a ski vacation in January. Lots to keep my mind off this second loss until then. It's very strange to think I now have had 3 miscarriages. Being female really sucks sometimes.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@KayKay: The days my kids wake early it takes me even longer to get Ty to school....because that usually means he's a hot mess and fighting me on every little thing.
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@KayKay: @MamaG: I'm actually paranoid about finding an ear infection at E's appointment next week. He's been pulling at his ears lately but only does it when eating (while also running his messy fingers through his hair) so I don't know that it's related... And 100% fine except for his MOTN wakeups which aren't that unusual. Soooo, we'll see!
Ugh.. they suck! But at the same time they 'should' be able to get over them without antibiotics...
@winniebee: Awww, sorry to hear about the possible m/c again.
@FaithFertility: Nice dropping her off early!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: I am so so sorry mama
@FaithFertility: I totally wish I can drop K early too! She makes me late to work, lol. But right now we pay for 5 hrs and my mom can't get her before 2 so we can't drop her till 9! I'm waiting for her to drop to 1 nap to just up the hours to 8.
@josina: Now every time K touches her ear I'm like, ear infection?!
pomelo / 5298 posts
Third ear infection in a row. Just earned our ent referral. If we are headed to tubes, I want to do it quickly.
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@MamaG: Sorry to hear! Depending on how next week's appt. goes we may be headed there, but I'm hoping not!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@FaithFertility: Perfect! When I can do anything (get ready, grocery shop, use the bathroom) without kids I feel like I have superpowers
@winniebee: ugh - what a night / morning And I totally agree on the preschooler front. If M wakes up early it's even more likely we'll be late getting out the door because she'll be a raging mess.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@josina: J was playing with his ears tonight so now I'm paranoid too. I hope everything's clear at E's appointment!
@MamaG: Bummer. I hope the ENT can help!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@MrsF: G plays with her ears a lot.....probably because they stick out a little
