@MamaG: Hope it went ok! We have a weekend away in a month and I'm sort of waiting until after that is over!

@mrsf: a 2.5+ age gap was pretty awesome for us. If you guys are avoiding the discussion, I'd say just forget it for awhile! maybe plan on IUD out in sept/oct and just roll with whatever happens. Honestly, for a 3rd, we probably would've had an end date for TTC (like maybe the end of this year). While we both wanted a third, neither of us would feel incomplete without one. I feel like we would've hit a point of no return where going back to newborn would've been blaaaaah.
@mamag: we paci weaned at a year-ish and just did it cold turkey. It did mean she is noisier when she wakes up, but whatever.
E's talking has been hilarious lately! She as tons of new words everyday and has this way of saying "yeeeah!" that is full of attitude like "duh of course". 18 months going on 13, I swear.

Okay night one went well. But I also know she was exhausted. We will see how this trend continues. Maybe this will be just like with C, a non event that I was scared of.

@MamaG: So glad night one went well! I hope the whole thing is easier than you had thought it would be!
My kids are both hardcore thumb suckers, so no paci advice here. We'll be the ones at the orthodontist!

@FaithFertility: Glad you enjoyed your girls weekend! Sounds like a blast

We were at my parents' house this weekend and I had to work on some wedding planning stuff with my mom and sister so my Dad offered to play with Jack. When we were done I went outside to find them and they were sitting in a chair and J had been sleeping for 45 minutes (from like 10am-11am) . I was pretty pissed because now he refused his actual nap and is going to have to be up until bedtime, and of course mama doesn't get a break. Oh well.
I'm sure my whole family thought I was nuts for not wanting to just let him sleep whenever he wanted to, but I figured you girls would understand.

@MrsF: We are officially NTNP now, join me!
@MamaG: Hope night two goes equally as well!
@FaithFertility: Glad you had a fun girls weekend! Loved all the pics.
Ethan's 18 mo. Stats: 26 lbs 7 oz 81%, 32-1/2" tall 56%, head 50 cm 98%. He's dropped quite a bit on the height scale.

@mrsf: totally get ya! i don't like to run with E in the jogging stroller in the mornings anymore because she ALWAYS falls asleep...and even 15min seems to mess with her afternoon nap (and, believe me, I need every second of that one that I can get!!) hopefully the rest of the day didn't go too badly.

@faithfertility: you're way more ambitious than I would be we have a fun kid-free weekend with some old friends in 2 weeks, and i already warned them that, while i'm happy to be a dedicated DD, i can't promise that i will be awake past 10p. haha.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MrsF: I get you a 100%!
K threw up twice yesterday which scared the crap out of me (once in the carseat in the car too, not fun). Thankfully that was it so it's not a stomach bug! But man, being in 1st trimester and handling puke... That was rough. I can barely change poppy diapers these days.
@MamaG: so glad night 1 went well! we have a full on paci addict here and I have NO idea when we're gonna wean. I had said 18 months before, but now it seems impossible, haha! I can't even limit paci for only nap/bed. She wants it ALL the time!
pomelo / 5298 posts
We are now pacifier free. Yippee. Two overnights and a nap at home without it. She sort of looks for it when she first gets into her crib but sleep has been unchanged so far. They haven't been thrown out yet, just put away. Heck C's stayed put away until just recently when I found the ziploc of them in the back of a bathroom cabinet

@MamaG: that's so gooood! I think Kara is too addicted haha. I might have to cut the tip off and see if she rejects them herself!

@MrsF: We were planning on TTC this August but we have pushed it back to next August. We're just not ready for another one just yet!

@KayKay: Awww it was hard I definitely passed out by 9p.m. last night! lol
@MamaG: So glad it was easy!!!!!
@snowjewelz: ughhh 1st tri is awful Hang it there!!!!!!!
So excited for you though!!!!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: I'll be excited when it's over, lol. And I dont even have the worse of MS, so I'm pretty sure I'm just a huge baby.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: No, I didn't have horrible MS either it was the exhaustion that got me!

G is OBSESSED! With Laurie Berkner's song We are the Dinosaurs, it's borderline "scary" .....lol
All she wants is for us to play the song so she can march and dance.... Which is fine but we play it from our phones so now if I am even talking on my phone she flips demanding "Marching"
I need her CD so she stops corrilating it to our phones
Any others have an obsession?!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: haha that's cute. Ryan gets obsessed with certain books (pout pout fish is a big fave) and demands it be read 130 times a day.
@MamaG: wow you make it seem so easy!
@snowjewelz: yuck! Glad she's better!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Aww, so cute! K for a while kept requesting me to sing "open shut them" (she says it like opshum, lol), so she can do all the hand motions.
pear / 1961 posts
@faithfertility: elmo's ducks. if we have our phones out at all, she immediately starts yelling "elmo! quack!" until either we relent or we put it away (and she throws a fit).
honeydew / 7283 posts
@snowjewelz: Oh man that's rough. I remember how hard it was to change diapers in the first tri The MS is one of the biggest things scaring me away from TTC! So glad it's not a stomach bug!
@MamaG: That's so great! It's always amazing when you expect something to be a huge battle and it's not.
@FaithFertility: Too cute

@josina: E's a big boy! M was 22 lbs at an appt 2 weeks ago so he's dropping weight a bit. Official 18 mo appt is Thursday. I keep wondering if we should do the whole NTNP thing like we did before M. It scares me! LOL
@MamaG: Congrats on being pacifier free.
@FaithFertility: M loves Youtube videos on our phones. If we turn on one he doesn't like, he hits the home button & turns it off. He likes certain Elmo videos & the Muppets (used to be Pharrell's Happy video for the longest time).

@FaithFertility: K's favorite song now is "row, row, row," complete with hand motions she must have learned at daycare. Although dh always give me a hard time since I sing life is bout a dream instead of but a dream. Ha!

@MamaG: so glad the weaning from paci went so smoothly!! I will say, as much as I wanted him to take one earlier on, for soothing purposes, I'm so glad I don't have to deal with weaning H off of one now!
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@FaithFertility: haha that is too cute. I feel like they get obsessed so easily with things this age! The repetition helps them learn!!
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@snowjewelz: that is honestly part of why we aren't trying yet; with the ms I had last pregnancy, I don't think I could change diapers without throwing up every time
eggplant / 11861 posts
@josina: 18 months, just nuts
I have 4 more days with my class then I am.officially done June 2nd So excited!!!

@AngelicOne: Do it! We need babies # 2 to share birthdays too.
@FaithFertility: E love The Chopper Dance on Disney Jr... (commercial for Star Wars Rebels). He runs to the tv and starts dancing, so cute.

@FaithFertility: soo jealous!
K likes the hot dog dance on Mickey Mouse Club!

We had our 18 month well visit this morning. No shots for us. She's due for a Hepatitis shot, but because she had her 12 month shots late, she can't get it yet. She grew in the past three months. Her height is finally catching up to her weight and she's now off the charts for both. I knew she shot up, but seriously 3 inches!!!
I didn't have any concerns to address so it was a quick and non-event appointment. Now we go back at 2 years.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: kinda sad that the appts will be further and further out now! (but at the same time I can do with less doc appts!)
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@MamaG: We had gotten another DTAP shot.
Is Hepatitis A her next one? Our dr. told us this one was optional, I opted out for now since I didn't know anything about it?
pomelo / 5298 posts
@josina: Yes Hep A, she got one at 12 months and needs a second one 6 months later. K got her DTAP and HIB at her prior visit (15 months).
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@FaithFertility: So G was afraid of her shadow... E is DEATHLY afraid of bubble wrap! Like Screams and Cries if it's even near him, let alone popping it!
