@MamaG: I've been looking at the koozie because it's supposed to be better for BM than others (we had a different one with M). Do you like it?
And booo for head lice! You guys can't catch a break

@adira: ugh -- sickness is the worst! K's school just sent the notice that someone came down with the flu. I thought about having her stay home for the rest of the week, but figured she's already been exposed and/or will be as additional kids get it and re-expose everyone else but i'm hoping she doesn't get it, and REALLY hope that we can keep those germs away from E!
@banddmommy: awesome! don't feel bad about posting how awesome you & D are doing it gives us hope! haha.

@MrsF: I do like the kiinde koozie, but don't have anything to compare to. It's not super fast would be my only complaint. We also use distilled water to be on the safe side.

@MrsF: I have the avent one; it does its job I have nothing to compare to either

@MamaG: ohhh no lice is no joke To keep them away....
Put a few drops of tea tree oil in her shampoo bottle it is a home trick I have used for years as a teacher, a parent told me about it!!!!!

I think we got good sleep last night. Micah woke up only once and I nursed him in bed laying down and we both went back to sleep so I have no idea how many hours he went for.

Is anyone here not on the FB thread and can we convince you to join?

@whenoceansrise: that's great!
I feel like I'm double posting but Ryan did his first four hour stretch last night followed by 3 hours. Hurrah!

@winniebee: I'm not on it, haha, but I don't think you can convince me to join. I like my anonymity.
And YAY for finally getting some decent stretches of sleep!!!

@FaithFertility: We will certainly be doing SOMETHING in regards to a shampoo going forward. I got the call this morning that too many nits are left in her hair and she's being sent home. Since I was home all last week with K, I told DH he needed to take this one. It's going to cost us financially due to him losing OT pay as a result, but I can't keep missing work either. He'll get the joy of re-combing her hair today.

How long does your little one stay up for at a time on average??? G usually 45-1 hr but I am doing all her exercises and tummy time...I probably wear the poor girl out..
..lol
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: about an hour but she nurses from 20-49 min so we haven't had s long stretch yet
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@FaithFertility: Logan is starting to go longer awake. He doesn't start showing signs of being tired until he's been up for at least an hour. Then it's often 30 more minutes before he's asleep.

Seriously sleeping all day she has no fever, but I don't think she feels good! Should I call Dr.?? She is eating fine, peeing like normal...but super sleepy?
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: it sounds like she's having a growth spurt. Extra sleep doesn't signal sick necessarily! Is she super fussy?
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Ryan does best at 45-1 hour awake. But lots of times it's much longer because he doesn't fall asleep randomly (either needs to be nursed or held/rocked and with Ty at home I just can't always watch the clock that closely or attend to his sleep needs as soon as he needs me. Yesterday for example I missed his sleepy window and then fought like hell and it was 3 hours before he was down for a nap. It was a weird day though. Today he has been sleeping quite a bit. The swaddle/swing/paci works sometimes but not always....

@winniebee: No not really, was a few days ago.....
I'm such a worry wart FTM ; )
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@FaithFertility: probably just a growth spurt
H is usually awake 1-1.5 hrs. Sometimes less, sometimes more.

I'm trying to be more cognizant of tummy time. I noticed a sligt flattening on one side.
persimmon / 1050 posts
@BandDmommy: M is doing the same thing. He favors his right side all the time. We turn his head & 2 sec later he's turned back.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@AngelicOne: We have the same issue except she favors her left side....
When M turns to the left hold the right shoulder down to help stretch the muscle....we are doing alot of stretches to help G

@BandDmommy: I feel like a flat spot is soo hard to not get at this point.......
nectarine / 2028 posts
@BandDmommy: Ditto. My husband swears he sees flattening on one side. I think it's pretty slight, but I'm *so* paranoid about plagiocephaly because two kids I nannied for had Doc Bands. I'm trying to get him off his back as much as possible, and also rotating which way he sleeps in the crib to try and make sure he's spending time on different sides.
nectarine / 2028 posts
@FaithFertility: He does okay awake up to two hours, but usually getting him down before that means he won't get overtired. He's 11 weeks old.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: def can be growth spurt. K goes through thr constant nursing phase than had a day or two of constant sleeping.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
I better make sure the doc checks for flattening at her 2 mo check up! I haven't really paid attention to whether she favors a side!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: Don't worry, your pediatrician will check for any flat spots. I haven't been paying much attention either and I'm terrible at doing tummy time!
