@yellowbeach: but I also think you could pull it off with casual. i.e. thermals, sweaters, leggings, sweater dress, quarter zip pullovers and jeans.

Good morning joint pain/muscle fatigue/carpal tunnel... But tomorrow is my last day (and I remembered to take it today)!

I'd like to join you gals! I'm currently waiting to miscarry so I'm not sure if it will be December that I'm POAS but fingers crossed that I will.

TGIF and baby dust to you all

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@Autumnmama79: first, I'm sorry! I hate that you're having to join us for that reason! We're good to have you of course, but wish it wasn't for that reason.

@Autumnmama79: welcome, and I'm sorry for your lost

Afm, I definitely think I haven't Oed yet, tons of ewcm today, so should be soon

@LAZB: Thank you. It sucks on all kinds of levels, but I'm not giving up yet.

Sounds like you're coming into a high-BDing time if O is near?

@Autumnmama79: Welcome to the December POAS board! I'm sorry you are here under such sad circumstances but I am glad that you will be with us.

@Lazb: OK, lady, I can't keep crossing my fingers 🀞 for you to OV here ... I won't be able to get anything done. πŸ˜‰πŸ€£ I'm hoping you get a nice one this cycle and some BEAUTIFUL lines on an HPT to show for your BD-ing efforts as well! πŸ™ŠπŸ™‰πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‰πŸ‘

@Sam's Mom: I'm sorry you are still feeling crummy ... on a positive note, it is the last day of the pills! πŸŽˆπŸŽ‰πŸŽŠ Oh, and YAY!, you remembered them! πŸ‘πŸ˜‚

As for me, nothing on the OV front. All OPKs read "LOW," or negative. I have been in a sh##ty mood all day since finding out my cousin was married last month and never sent me (or my DH and kids) an invitation but sent the rest of my entire family an invitation. We live 20 hours away so I get it ... we probably wouldn't have been able to attend; however, no one even told me they got married (even my mom and brother were hiding that they attended ... and I have photographic evidence!). It was improper, sheisty, and an all-around cruddy thing to do. I would have at least declined gracefully and sent an extravagant gift and a heartfelt card. WTH, my extended family is so dysfunctional!!! (Thank you for allowing for the non-TTC vent. πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚)

@Kaohinani: Thanks. I'm sad to be here, but it seems like a lovely and lively group of supportive mamas

That whole thing with the wedding is so weird! Why do you think they didn't send you an invite?

  10. LAZB

    pomegranate / 3904 posts

@Autumnmama79: yep, I started getting ewcm several days ago and had an almost positive opk, so we've been bding already. My opks have been negative since, but I think they should turn positive soon. I hope so, I can only BD so much!

@Kaohinani: πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ it’s like when someone keeps sneezing, after 10 times I’m going to stop saying "bless you" lol

  11. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@Autumnmama79: Honestly, I've been a military spouse since I was 21 and have traveled the globe. My mother's side of the family has always been very welcoming when I am "local" but completely forgets me and my family every time we move more than a state or 2 away.... no cards, no calls, no gifts (all contact is up to me). I call it the "Out of sight, out of mind" times. (* It doesn't help that half suffer with depression, manic depression, and multi-personality disorder and they go on and off medication frequently.) Obviously, a 20-hour drive qualifies for me to be ignored. At nearly 39, I'm getting too old for this and, honestly, I'm over the bulls##t. I have made something of myself without any of them or their support and I do not need to deal with the dodgy relations even if for my children.

P.S. I am never normally this grumpy... ask any of these ladies. I believe completely in looking to the positive; however, it appears, you have found me on a low day. I do apologize. Once again, warmest welcomes.

Well we're dragging ass over here. What is everyone's Thanksgiving plans? Do you crazies Black Friday shop? I worked retail for 5 years and that is the only 5 years I've been out on Black Friday; well except when I go out for the Christmas tree.

@Sams Mom: We are headed to my parents' house 1.5 hrs east of here. DH and I both work the day before and the day after (DH's 32nd bday) since the ER is always open. We are just lucky to have Thanksgiving Day itself off. As for Black Friday - HELL NO! That's why God invented the internet

  15. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@yellowbeach: yeah my husband works Thanksgiving, but since he's on 3rds I'm going to wake him up for dinner (we eat at like 2), then let him go back to bed until he has to get up for work. Which is nice and all, but we're hosting about 15 people and I actually have to let him sleep and deal with it myself. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

@LAZB: hopefully it’s fruitful BDing! At times it does seem like a lot doesn’t it?

@Kaohinani: that must be hard to feel so detached from family just because you’re not physically close. Sounds like you dodged a bit of a bullet maybe anyways... no need to apologize, we all have our days.

@Sams Mom: I’m Canadian and we had our thanksgiving last month - I’ll be keeping my eye out for Black Friday sakes tho! Looking for shoes/boots for DD and I’d ideally like to get a head start on my Christmas shopping too.

@yellowbeach: a big yes to internet Black Friday shopping - seem like there’s no need to bother with stores and lines anymore!

  17. Kaohinani

CD 9 - STILL reading "LOW" on CBEAD. My Smilereader OPKs are very low but have progressively been increasing in intensity (from a 0.5 LH read to a 1.5 LH read) ... still a loooong way off from a 9 or 10, but it is headed in the right direction. In the last 4 cycles, I have gotten my positive OPKs on either CD 8 or 9 so this is something new. New could be good. πŸ™‚ DH and I BD-ed anyway this morning because, you know, SMEP. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚

As for Thanksgiving plans, most of you know, we were supposed to drive to Lake Martin to spend Thanksgiving at my in laws, but now we are having "Turkey Day" back home which works out great if I have a later OV. DH will be working the day before and will have a 1/2 day on the worksite the day after. I do not go out to shop Black Friday sales. People can be so insane and rude when shopping for Christmas... Ironic, isn't it?!?!? Anyway, I do my holiday shopping year round as it is more economical, and I hit up the online holiday sales for the last minute "must haves." I am extremely boring that way.

@LAZB: so apparently ferometer goes up to 200. Haha. I got a blazing positive in the morning yesterday. Unfortunately we overdid it on the bd leading up so only got in the night before the positive and it’s looking like that’s it for this month. But I got a positive two days earlier this month so I’m hoping I have at least a longer lp this month. Some sign my body is sorting its crap out. Hope you get your positive opk soon!

  19. LAZB

    pomegranate / 3904 posts

@Petitduck: good to know! I'm.still hanging out in the 20s, hopefully I get my surge soon. I hear you on the overdoing it before the surge, but hopefully your timing works!

@Autumnmama79: also in Canada. I hope your stay here is short. Sorry for your loss.

@Kaohinani: interesting that things may be different for you too this month. Hoping it’s good all around for everyone, as always. I wonder what your o day will be this month then. Your shopping plan isn’t boring it’s smart!

Im thankful not to have Thanksgiving drama! Also, Thanksgiving seems to be so much more intense in the u.s. than here. Or maybe I just don’t get super into it. It’s like a blip on the way to Christmas, which is fast approaching!

@samsmom: hosting that many people, basically solo, sounds so not fun. Good luck!

I’m bored and very sleepy today. What are people planning on getting their husbands for Christmas? As a random question.

  21. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@Petitduck: hosting is hectic and stressful, but in all honesty my mom takes over and cooks everything still even though all of us kids are old enough to do so. Then afterwards my dad takes over on cleanup and does the dishes.

As to what am I getting the hubby for Christmas... Hopefully a positive pee stick, but I'm also looking at the sport Bose headphones for him when he works out.

I absolutely refuse to go out on Black Friday and prefer to do my cyber Monday shopping from the comfort of my office at work πŸ˜‚

  22. Petitduck

    kiwi / 624 posts

@Sams Mom: I’m hoping to get myself and hubby that for Christmas also. I wanted it for my birthday....but that’s next week soooo not happening. But it would be a wicked Christmas present.

It’s nice when people help with clean up, that makes a huge difference for hosting.

So now I wonder if anyone actually braves Black Friday in person. Haha.

  23. Kaohinani

@Petitduck: Soooooooo far, I have purchased DH: a new cell phone case, a Captian America pop socket for his cell, a digital tape measure (to use at work), a 76-piece pocket hole jig kit with carrying case, 5 new pairs of Dickies (1 dress pant, 2 jeans, 2 carpenter work pants), new work boots, a professional shaving set (* DH uses an old fashioned double-blade safety razor and badger hair shaving cream brush), new UGG loafer-style slippers, and a bunch of new gear for his field and drill training. We will see what I purchase after I peruse the Cyber Monday sales! 😳😁

@Sams Mom: I was, initially, going to write a a "POSITIVE HPT!," but then I scrolled down and read your response. πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ I realized my answer wouldn't be so novel, after all. πŸ™„πŸ€” Great minds think alike, eh? πŸ˜‰πŸ‘πŸ˜‚

  24. Petitduck

    kiwi / 624 posts

@Kaohinani: spoiled! Are you a Christmas lover? It makes me so happy. My hubby put up more lights today and I love it! A digital tape measure sounds really cool. What is it? My husband is pretty into tools and diy.

When we’re ttc I always say that being pregnant is all I need or want as a present.

  25. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@Petitduck: My DH and DD are my Christmas "people," I just play along. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚ In all actuality, I just love giving people things: homemade things or store bought items -- it doesn't matter, I love to give. I like decorating and planning as well. I do feel awkward RECEIVING things though (* DH tells me that I am a bummer to purchase for bc I never "want" anything), it is probably the reason I've never been a big birthday person (my own, only) either. πŸ€”πŸ˜ Honestly though, my holidays are Halloween (since I love decorating and dressing up) and Valentine's Day (as it is a great day to dole upon the one's you love and show extra appreciation for everyone). DH calls me his "little morbid lover" 😳 ... but that is bc he is weird. πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

Anyway, as to the digital tape measure, I was able to find a similar one for you to view on Amazon:
    eTape16 ET16.75-db-RP Digital Tape Measure, 16 Feet, Red https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PY3OT5K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Gyj8Bb84EEY99
When my DH transitioned from AD military to a reservist with a civilian position, he became an engineer (which he was in the mil) and construction superintendent for an Engineering & Construction Co that handles multimillion dollar commercial and government construction jobs. I find myself purchasing increasingly more and more personal tools for him to bring to each worksite as he never knows what is available at any given moment and it is easier for him to have his own in his truck than to use (share) outsourced or company tools. Anyway, his tape measure was "misplaced" πŸ€”πŸ˜’ last week so he has been using a company one ... I decided he needed an upgrade. πŸ™‚

@Kaohinani: I hear you on being difficult to buy for. I love getting stuff for people, especially my kids, but whenever people ask me if I want things I’m usually scratching my head. I told my family not to get me anything for my birthday this year. And β€œacts of service” is my love language so my darling mother is painting our laundry room as my birthday present this year.

That tape measure is very cool! I would even like that for myself....not that I’m using a tape measure very often. Also, that is a thoughtful gift-the gradual gifting of his own set of equipment/tools. I have done the 12 days of Christmas for my husband twice, but it was kind of tricky. He did like it though.

Hey ladies! I’m excited I get to try this month!
    Cycle Day: 23
TTC Cycle: 6- I have had two CP’s and a miscarriage at 8.5 weeks this year.
    Ovulation Date: maybe today?
    POAS Date: December 3rd
    Baby #: 2

I had a missed miscarriage 3 weeks ago and was cleared via ultrasound to start trying again last Wednesday. They checked my ovaries, and I had several decent sized follicles on each one. I have had one OPK that was close to positive yesterday. I have all signs of ovulation, but I’m just uncertain because of how late I am in my cycle, and the lack of a blazing OPK. Do y’all think this is positive? I took one today, and it was super negative.

I hope December is a good month for everyone!

@Jessiemuller88: I'm going to regret saying this, but my ovaries don't hurt at all... Yet. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

The muscle fatigue and joint pain have been the worse so far, I'm basically used to the hot flashes/solar flares now πŸ˜‚

I would think your missed miscarriage might be behind the late ovulation. Have you had any other signs? Fertile cm? I can't remember if you temp. Also, has your doctor looked into why you're having reoccurring losses? I just want you to get your sticky baby!

@Sams Mom: ahhhhh! Don’t jinx yourself! I hate to say it, but there is plenty of time for pufferfish ovaries to make their appearance.

I agree, I passed the sac about 5 days after taking Misoprotosol, so that’s probably when my body truly β€œreset”. I don’t temp, but I have had fertile cm yesterday and today, and my cervix is also pointing towards peak fertility.

She referred me to a fertility specialist. My first appointment is Tuesday.

@Jessiemuller88: Welcome back! 😁 I am so sorry to read about your miscarriage... It is always such a difficult situation. πŸ’” On a more positive note - we have missed you and it is wonderful to have you back. πŸ™‚ Also, that is one blazing OPK.

So I've got my POS CBEAD today (CD 10) which means I should OV on either CD 11 or 12. I'm so excited as my cycles keep extending. At this rate, I MAY actually either get pregnant OR make a 27/28 day cycle instead of a 23-26 day. Very exciting!!! Unfortunately, DH already took off for the worksite as there was an issue with a burst pipe 😫 ... Hopefully, we will be BD-ing this afternoon or evening.

Affixed, a picture of a very curious birthday girl (* Luna turns 1 today) sniffing my POS CBEAD (gross! - she can probably smell hormonal changes in the urine) and with her dirty paws on my butcher block island counter. Bad birthday girl πŸ•! πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

@Kaohinani: thank you. It has been difficult, but I’m feeling better with each passing day and also more hopeful!

That is awesome your cycles are getting longer! Hopefully you and hubby get some alone time later today. Your birthday pup is SO cute. I can’t do anything around my house without my two pups sticking their nose in everything.

@LAZB: That IS so frustrating! 😫 I know you probably don't want to, but keep BD-ING atleast every other day until you get your POS OPK or your expected AF date, whichever comes first. My ex-SIL conceived her son that way as she couldn't hit a POS OPK to save her soul the month she did end up conceiving! 🀞
