@meredithNYC: I took it starting in small amounts (1-2 cups per day) at 34 weeks and then ramping up at 37 weeks. I had lots of contractions in that time and although I was induced at 39 weeks my labor from pitocin to pushing was only 4 hours....then I pushed for 2 but still. I only had a small amount of tearing and felt great on day 3. I'm almost 32 weeks now and have started drinking a cup or 2 everyday or two. To me it is a 'can't hurt, might help' thing and I'm not going to not take it this time when my labor was so short last time I just have dried red raspberry leaves and use a tea ball

I drank 2 cups of pregnancy tea each day. I bought the herbs from a local shop. It has RRL in it. I think it worked. I had a fast, unmedicated labor. I contribute it to baby's position, the tea, acupuncture, and my prenatal yoga.

@Anya: I totally get it!
@littlejoy: Yeah, it's hard to pin down any one factor for a quick labor, right? My first was about 14 hours of labor and maybe 45 minutes of pushing, and I was not in great shape and really didn't do anything special to prepare. This time it will be my second (so probably quicker no matter what), I've been doing barre throughout the pregnancy and I'm drinking the tea. So if things work quickly, who knows what it will all be down to!

I drank it every day starting in the second trimester. I had to be induced after my water broke. 16 hours after induction (including 2 hours of pushing) LO arrived. Not sure if it would have been worse not drinking the tea every day. The tea tasted good so I would probably do it again,

I've been drinking the tea sporadically (probably every couple of days) and taking 2-3 EPO capsules every day since 37 weeks and I'm 4-5cm dilated at 40w1d (a ticking time bomb according to my OB!). I've also been walking every night after dinner for the last three weeks which I suspect has helped more.

@dc yoga bee: I don't think it did much for me, unfortunately. Started at 38 weeks and did at least 4 cups/day. Went over my due date by 6 days and had a long labor - 19 hours, which was longer than my first. I did only push for 4 minutes, though.

@meredithNYC: I missed your reply. 4 min of pushing!!! I've been drinking a cup every other day starting at 37 weeks. I'm going to try to remember to drink it at I head into my 38th week Friday!

@dc yoga bee: It's definitely worth a shot, right? And I mean, the tea isn't great tasting but it's not so terrible that it's like, a major sacrifice to drink it.
