DH and I saw a video in our expecting multiples class. It was very outdated but gave us a glimpse of what to expect. I'm trying to think how graphic it was. I can't remember. I'll ask DH.
I have been watching animated videos of childbirth which is informative.

I watched a couple documentaries; but I also saw my baby sisters birth, and watched my sister give birth.

Our one day birth class included one. Also pretty outdated but gave an ok idea of what to expect I guess. I liked reading birth stories better.

I watched a few online but I didn't want DH to see any. He gets major anxiety about stuff like that and it was better he not know what to expect going into it.

DH had an l&d hospital shift the week before i delivered and i watched a lot of birth videos!

Yes, but it doesn't exactly prepare you for what is to come, since every birth experience is so different! That was what we concluded anyway. I guess I'd say watch one but keep that in mind

I was present at a birth when I was a teenager. It did not prepare me for labor! I think I was too nervous about the pain vs. focusing on the beauty. But all the videos we watched during our birth education classes helped a lot.

I watched videos of vaginal and cesarean birth in a college class. I've also watched some videos on YouTube. I think they'll be showing videos at our childbirth class so DH will see one too.

I've delivered a bunch of babies myself. DH had basically seen the video from sex Ed in school and that was all he wanted.

I watched a lot online before I had E, but I don't think D had (our class didn't watch one). And I was in the room with my stepsister when her first daughter was born (18 year old me was scared to have sex for a while after!)

We watched about a dozen videos in our Bradley class. I thought it helped immensely to see a wide variety of labors and situations that can arise. I would recommend videos to anybody as a good way to prepare for birth.

Nothing official, but I always love watching shows like the ones on tlc where they show live births.
