We were team green for our first and loved it- I never wavered and was so glad we didn't find out until she was born.
Now we are debating finding out for number two but I'm kind of nervous that I will regret finding out. On one hand, it will be nice to experience both sides, and this will be my last baby. On the other, once you know you never unknow...
Did anyone regret finding out? Or once you did you we're glad to know?

Nope, I found out at 16 weeks and I loved knowing early.
Are you worried it won't be as special as being team green? I found out at an elective ultrasound with my in laws and aunt there, and it was a wonderful thing to share with everyone. I also like the idea of putting it in an envelope and opening it with your spouse on a date, there are definitely many ways to make finding out prior to the delivery room special.

My BFF was TG for #1 and found out recently for #2. She said she now regrets it and wishes she didn't know. It was enough to keep me TG this time around even though I'm on the fence and part of me wants to find out this time . Like you said, it's one of those things you can't un-know so I would have to be really really sure I wanted to find out before I did!

Yes! We found out with #1 at like 38 weeks by accident and it just kind of ruined it. So then with our second we found out early to avoid the last minute mistake and I regretted it the rest of the pregnancy. If we have a third, team green!

Yes. I was desperate to know and had an elective scan at 16 weeks. This time we will be TG.

I can't really compare because I haven't been TG before but I really liked finding out. It's helped me to bond with the baby (not that that wouldn't have happened otherwise.) We are considering TG for our second LO.

Yes and no. I liked knowing with my first because it was really important to me to decorate the nursery and buy cute gender specific outfits etc... And I was of the mindset that it's a surprise either way. Buuuut I think if anything I regret the way we found out. The ultrasound tech just didn't make it exciting for us at all. We're leaning towards TG this time around.

@Anya: yes, I'm worried it won't feel as exciting or special. We would probably have it written down and open it just the three of us or something (Dh, me, and Lo). But I also feel like I might need it to bond more since I feel so bonded to lo1 already... Or something.

Nope! I've loved knowing what we are having! Plus for me, I feel like it helps me cement the idea that I'm having a baby (boy or girl) versus an abstract thing

Nope!!! I think it is just as exciting and special to find out at a ultrasound with my husban there. But then I never got the novelty of being team green either.

We found out with both and never regretted it! It was so fun to be able to plan ahead and bond a little with each baby before they came and finding out their sex was something that really helped with that bonding for me.

No regrets. I was so excited to find out. I will never forget the moment the tech told us it was a boy.

OMG no! I can't imagine not having my nursery completely decorated just like it is, or a closet full of tiny dresses and outfits:) I feel like knowing the gender makes me as prepared as I can possibly be....More "ready."

There were times I wish I had been team green for #1 but I've definitely gotten to a place where I'm glad I knew and I want to know what #2 is too!

I'm going against the grain and saying yes but only kind of! We were TG with DD, but because of my losses and needing to really process that this pregnancy was happening, I decided to find out. We haven't told anyone we know...everyone thinks we're team green. While I do enjoy the bonding and imagining what life will be like in 12 weeks (OMG), I do miss the mystery and excitement and wonder about who is in there. I think that is just another thing miscarriages took from me...
But we'll definitely be TG next time!

I regretted it! We were TG with the first and had a boy. With the second, it was much more anti climatic. The us tech casually mentioned it mid sentence while DH was doing something for LO1. And since we were having another boy, people weren't as excited.

I think I posted this question a few months ago!! We found out with our first and were on the fence about finding out with our second. But we chose to find out and I'm SO glad we did!!

I didn't want to find out with LO1 but we thought we knew the sex after the anatomy scan so we opened our envelope. We were wrong so I was kind of bummed I had given up on TG -- until LO was born. After my delivery I was so glad we had found out before.
This time with LO2 we also decided to find out. No regrets there either.
Honestly, I don't think I'd have regrets either way.

Nope. I found out at 34 weeks after being TG originally. I was so drugged up and stressed at the end of my 43 hour induction it would not have been as great as finding out totally clear headed. I feel like I had the best of both worlds by finding out late.

Zero regrets finding out, I needed to know to help myself bond with the baby more. I'll definitely find out ASAP if we have a third.

We were TG for both but like you, I really wavered on whether or not to find out for LO2. I'm so glad we didn't though! I feel like it would have been a bit anticlimactic to hear it during an u/s, particularly as we had to bring DD1 to the scan with us and probably would have just been like, oh, that's nice. Also, it was nice to have the surprise factor again and made getting through the last weeks of pregnancy so much easier!
For me, the hardest part was getting through the 20 week scan without finding out. Once that scan was over, it was a huge weight off my shoulders and I was ecstatic that we didn't find out. There is nothing like pushing your baby out and hearing the magic words 'it's a ____!' But that may just be me

Nope! Never regretted it. I loved making their rooms for them and feeling a little more connected. We also wanted to know when it came to names! Only having to pick one name was awesome!

Im right there with you. I was team green with our first and while I never got the Hollywood announcement after delivery I was anticipating I still was happy with my choice. We found out with my second because we were moving and it was nice too I guess. We are pregnant with our last and Team Green again and while part of me kinda wants to know I think ill regret it too since its our last so I'm sticking to ir. The way I see it is you find out no matter what in the end. Its not some secret you have forever there is an ending date and you'll find out eventually. Its just sooner or later really

No regrets. I had a previous m/c and was having trouble getting excited about the new pregnancy. Finding out she was a girl really helped me bond with her.

. Knowing it was in my hand was more than I could take.
With dd, I was so curious until the scan. And I was totally fine with staying team green.

@Tidybee: yes- I think if I have an envelope in my hand saying it, I'll have to open it! But if I get out of the scan and don't know, fine.
I kind of wish Dh would just be adamant that we find out, since I always said he could choose for this one. But he's as on the fence as me.
