DS was a week early and I didn't think I'd go into labor until right around my due date, because I was using opks and knew when I ovulated,.. However, my sister predicted the exact date correctly! Too bad we didn't get a pool going

I was convinced I would go a bit early and I was right! My water broke at 38+6 and he was born at 39! It was perfect and I would have been miserable if i'd gone late.

Definitely not! I was convinced I'd be two weeks late and was totally shocked when my water broke without labor starting at 39w4d

I thought I would be at least a week late. If you went by my O date rather than my LMP, it showed my date being 10/12 instead of 10/4. I delivered at 40w3d, so not too far off.

I thought mine was destined to be late - my prediction was 41w3d. My water broke at 38w3d, lol.

Definitely not. I thought I'd be early because I measured ahead with both and carried extremely low. Ha, joke was on me... DS was born at 40+5 and DD was at 41+6.

I really had no idea but hoped the fact that he was measuring ahead the whole pregnancy would mean he might come early or at least on time. He arrived at 41 weeks exactly!

Since my son came 2 weeks early, I thought my daughter would too. Ha! She came at 40+1. That was the longest 2 weeks ever.

My son was just a few days early, so I thought for sure my daughter would be a bit early, like in the 38th week. She came at 37+2!

No! I had hoped I would be a bit early but baby was born at 41w. I wish I would have gone to work right up to my due date. The wait got pretty unbearable.

I told myself the entire time I was pregnant with L that I'd go late, so I didn't go insane if I did. But at 38+6, I had irregular contractions all day at work. At the end of the day I told my boss I was pretty sure I wouldn't be at work after the long weekend. Sure enough, I had L that Monday.

@dagret: i was similar. I kind of had a feeling I would be close to on time, but told everyone I would go late. The Thursday before my Wednesday due date I was pretty sure things would happen soon. He came that Sunday, 3 days early.

I woke up on the day I tuened 37 weeks pregnant and I said, "I won't make it to 38. This is the week"
I was induced on my due date and he still wouldn't come out. Haha

I carried big and low my whole pregnancy and felt pretty certain he would be early. And he came at 37+1! (7 lbs 13 oz!)

The second time, yes. I texted my friend "this baby is coming in the next 24 hours." She was in my arms about 18 hours later!

Nope! I didn't know if I would go late or early but I hoped I'd go around 39 weeks. I was induced because of fluid and BP at 40 +5! Who knows how long he would have stayed! This time I expect to go late too.

EVERYONE and their mother, including my OB, thought I would go early. They were SO SURE. I effaced and started dilating by 37 weeks....and nothing had changed by 40 weeks. I went a little nutty since everyone kept saying how i'd go early, etc once I hit 40 weeks

I kept pushing to schedule a repeat c/s by a certain date if baby hadn't come yet. I was so so set on this date, and wouldn't you know he came on his own that day.
And with both kids I KNEW I would go early and I was right.

No, but I went past 40 weeks with both so I knew they had to come soon. Lol.

Yes. I was told my due date was August 16 but I was sure it was the 14th. I felt like I'd go into labour that day too and I did. I couldn't push her out by midnight though so we met in the middle and I had her on the 15th.

In a way kind of. My brother scheduled his wedding the day after my due date so I told him I would probably have my baby his wedding day. But at my appt the day before my due date, I told my midwives I'd probably see them in 5 weeks because I felt like I would never have the baby! That night all of my family members went to a church ceremony where you can't have phones on inside. Right before they went in, I jokingly told them via emoticons that my water would probably break. And it did! And I couldn't get a hold of anyone.

Nope, I was positive I was going to be late. I think part of it was trying to prepare myself mentally for a wait. But I prepared myself a little too well because when I went into labor the day before EDD I didn't have anything packed! It resulted in the most insane hospital bag ever (a hair straightener? TONS of socks for DH but no underwear? every single plug/charger we own but not our doctor's contact information).
