To me, there's a difference between announcing to my Facebook "friends" versus the actual friends I still keep in contact with in real life! So, how did you tell them the news? Did you call each one individually, send out an email or text, or did you have a pregnancy party or something? LOL. I think I either called or told my friends in person for LO #1, but for #2, I'm considering just sending a text with a picture of DS in his announcement shirt, but I wonder if that's too impersonal!

My friends are all over the world, so I emailed or texted each one individually. If I could tell them in person, I would have.

I called them because I couldn't tell them in person. I think I'd do the same for a second, but I think a texted photo announcement could be sweet!

For my out of town friends, I called some, texted some, emailed some, and FB messaged some, depending on how I knew I could best get ahold of them. My BFF I told over the phone, but I would have preferred to tell in person. She's just 2000 miles away!
I told most of my in-town friends in person...or rather, my morning sickness and nausea did that for me. No hiding that!

We waited until after 20 weeks to announce on social media partly because we wanted time to tell our closest friends in person the news, and it took awhile to spread the word! For people we didn't see in that time, we called or sent individual emails. But I think I only emailed 1 person the news, and dh only told like 2 people over the phone...we luckily were able to see everyone else!

I called my best friend. She had guests in town and didn't get back to me until a few days later. Like when I got engaged, she figured it out. It was awesome to tell her about it. We called DH's best friend as well.
DH's ex-girlfriend (friend to us) found out from MIL's facebook and messaged DH about it. Her support was so sweet. She sent a pregnancy package as well as registry gifts and a blanket. When she's expecting her second, I plan to knit another blanket for her future LO.
