I sat on one about half the time while prego and bounced on it all the time after 37 weeks once my ob oked it. I also labored on it at home before we left for the hospital, it helped but I was still in plenty of pain. I had one at the hospital too but for whatever reason I was most comfortable laboring in the bed at the hospital. I got am epi at 7 cm and had a textbook delivery that never stalled or anything. Who knows maybe the ball helped everything be aligned and open

I sat on one at work. My cube neighbor was using it and it looked so good to me. I don't think it did anything but it felt better than my chair.

I would sit on one when I watched tv. And once I was around my due date would gently bounce to try and get labor started. I ended up being induced because my son was really late, but he was nice and low and labor went pretty easily so I think all the bouncing did help.

I sat on it to watch TV since I was having back pain, and I also used it for stretches/to get lo to move! I used it briefly in labor.

I sat on it when my sciatica was bad. also bounced a bunch in it towards the end of the pregnancy.
@MamaBear87: are you not supposed to sit/ bounce on it until you are full term? Or does it not matter? Never thought to ask for an ok.

I bounced on one and used it to stretch my hips at the end of pregnancy. I also used it to labor on while I was at home. It made the contractions much more bearable.

I used it to sit on and for bouncing, and also for stretching out (kneeling on floor and extending arms out). I def suggest along sure it's big enough for your length of legs - I was told to make sure your legs & knees are at a 90 degree angle. And having it probably pumped up makes a world of difference!

@Foodnerd81: you're fine to sit on it and you sort of naturally bounce some. My ob just told me not to go too crazy with the bouncing before I was term, I think that was partially because baby girl was way low from early on

@Foodnerd81: I had read you weren't supposed to bounce until full term. Every time they checked me my baby was always very low.
I used one from about 20 weeks because I didn't get around to buying it until then. I sat in it to watch tv and also sat on it at my dining table to eat or socialize. It is supposed to be good for bringing the baby lower and into the right position. I did figure 8 circles with it and rocked back and forth. It is also supposed to be good for opening your pelvis, taking pressure off your hips, and keeping your spine straight while in a seated position. I found if more comfortable than a chair and than the couch.

Yes, I did! I brought it to the hospital and labored on it. I was most comfortable on it.

I used mine for physical therapy exercises. I had horrible SI pain with my second pregnancy and had PT twice a week and daily exercises at home with the ball.

Just for some relief when I couldn't sit anywhere else because of the PAIN. I had groin pain and nerve pain and the ball was the only thing I could comfortably sit on.

@Corduroy: I wish my job would let me do this!
I sat on it a ton the last month or so of my pregnancy with E. I don't know if it helped or not, but it was comfortable. I used used it when I was laboring at home, and brough it to the hospital with me (but left it in the car, by the time I was admitted all I wanted to do was lie down).

We have them at school for the kids, and I sit on one whenever I get the chance. I find it helps my posture, and is just fun and comfortable. I have one at home, but it won't stay inflated.

I used one to sit because my baby loved to push against my ribs and it hurt like crazy to sit because I felt like my bump was being squished. And then when I went into labor I bounced on it and it helped distract me from painful contractions before I went to the hospital.

I am 39+4 and bouncing on it every night in the hopes of bringing on labor!!! No clue if it's actually doing anything.
