So I have finally ventured out of the house alone with little lady the last few days, wearing her in the Moby each time. I have never had so many conversations with random strangers in my life! I guess I never had a very approachable look to me, so I've never dealt with people making small talk. I like this though, I even got invited into a local baby wearing group!
When you go out with your LO are you more social/ nicer to strangers?

Lol no...it's the opposite. I use him as an excuse to be anti social. If we're at a get together, I just get absorbed in him and ignore people who I don't like. Or if I'm out and about, I'll just play with him (like in my yard) and I won't talk to the 100 people who jog by. I sound bad now....but sometimes I don't feel like being social;)

@TurtleDoves: lol. I do the same thing. I think it is a bit annoying that EVERYONE wants to talk to you and make faces at the baby. Haha. Sorry to sound like such a grump!

I used to go out all the time with my girlfriends and now I don't get the opportunity as often. Even when I go out with J and my friends, I miss out on half the conversation because I'm engaging with my boy.

@TurtleDoves: that's exactly how I thought I would be ( and how I was before having a baby). I'm usually the ultimate grump who doesn't even like chatting with my hair stylist! Maybe becoming a mom made me soft....

I get approached by other moms and I have started approaching other moms too. So having my LO has given me more confidence in talking to new people.

I had to deal with it before LO because everybody loves to pet and asked about my dog. Now people will not even ask about LO or talk to her, they still just want to pet the dog.
