My LO is 14 months so even though we talked about Santa a lot (we are clearly very pro-Santa) she didn't understand of course. I'm wondering if she will next year when she is just turned 2?

M didn't. But he understands presents!
D is 7, so a veteran of Santa.

Noelle did for the first time. She's almost 4.
Jaren didn't get it at all and he's 22 months.

Nope, she is 15 months. She did become obsessed with santa though and would say "ho ho" whenever she saw one

Nope. I heard a lot about Santa birthday party. Her birthday is in a couple weeks (she'll be two) and I think the presents bit got her turned around.

At 27 months, she knew Santa was coming and going yo bring her presents. She asked him for a bike when she sat in his lap, but she was super super worried he was going to come in her room and we had to keep telling her he would only come downstairs! Lol

She's 16 months and had no clue. Not sure if she'll understand next year either. By 3 I'm hoping she'll get it!

At 18 months not a bit. I thought he would but was actually relieved since it feels like we're still in the newborn fog with DS.2.

She does and likes the idea of Santa but is freaked the hell when she sees him!

He'd say Santa when we said presents or mentioned new toys, but not sure he gets the whole idea of Santa and good boys and girls who get gifts! He's two!

he got that santa was going to bring presents but i don't think he was sure he wanted santa in his house. (he definitely didn't like the idea of santa watching him)
but when he saw all the gifts on christmas morning he said "santa!" and just stood in awe, then later he randomly said "i love santa." pretty cute. he's 28 months.

They know Santa, but I don't have Santa give them presents. Not sure what they think of him ... just a person associated with Christmas somehow ... like reindeer, snowmen, gingerbread men, etc ...

LO is 22 months. She knows
(1) Santa brings presents
(2) Santa is the guy in the red suit
(3) Santa is very exciting
(4) You can track Santa on a smart phone
She does not know
(1) What the word "presents" means
(2) Any details about Santa
She got lots of toys on Christmas morning. She did not mention Santa or "presents". I'm sure tomorrow she would still squeal " Santa brings presents" with total glee and no thought of toys.

He sort of understands it at almost 2.5 years old. We attributed a fair amount of gifts to Santa and did the cookie thing. He enjoyed it quite a bit. We're pro-Santa.

Pretty much at 22 months. She recognizes and loves Santa and elves and reindeer. She knows it's all very exciting and Santa comes to the house with presents and I think she got leaving the cookies and milk because she checked that first and said 'Santa eats cookies!' Lol. Once the presents were being opened she was a little overwhelmed and kinda forgot about what was from Santa and what was from us or others.

@Corduroy: LOL! Your response cracked me up. Santa is very exciting but presents - a mystery.
All of your responses were so interesting! LO will be 26 months next Christmas so I think it will likely not completely click, but I am still excited
