DH and I make up certain words only we know, and will talk cutesy to each other, but not in front of anyone else. I'm wondering if we are the only weirdos that do this

When its just the two of us we have our own language for certain silly things. I'd say we're more goofy than lovey dovey though.

@prettylizy: Maybe that's what it is for us too, more goofy

We are serious goofballs. We have certain words, songs, dances and faces that we make. Sometimes we do these things in public when nobody is looking.

@Reese: in public when nobody else is looking-us too!
We do some of the cutesy stuff, but we're more likely to talk dirty to each other! >:)

Yup! We can be pretty nauseating we try to keep it contained to private time tho.

Absolutely not, even when we are alone! We poke fun at each other and sometimes say some pretty mean things to each other but in a jokey way - that's how we show affection! I sometimes wish we were a bit more lovey dovey but its so not us - it would just be weird.

Definitely not.
BUT we do make up songs about everything when it comes to DS, it's pretty goofy.

If by lovey dovey you mean, "Have you unloaded the dishwasher or should I?" then we are totally lovey dovey. Otherwise, not so much

Yes, we love being cutsey when it's just us 2... we'd be mortified if anyone ever witnessed it by mistake.

Not at all. Only one who does do it occasionally is DH, never me lol

@Mrs. Jacks: This is exactly how we are. "Will you brush her teeth?" "Who wants to fold this load of laundry?"
That's our loving talk!

@Cherrybee: I'm with you! We are not mushy at all and we are both pretty sarcastic. My husband very affectionately (really!) calls me "dummy" and I'm sure if anyone else heard that, they would be horrified. He used to call our LO "little dummy" but now that she's starting to talk we're trying to use better language!

DH does this more to me than I do to him...Makes me feel bad typing that! Especially since H was born- he is 1000% all about his "girls" and he talks super lovey-dovey to me:)

@Mrs. Jacks: LMAO!!!!
Hubby is more so than I am bc he has an awesome laid back loving guy. He's more carefree and makes up all sorts of silly names. I'm not creative nor as "care free" to do so. It's an attribute I absolutely love about the hubster.

Not really. We are more goofy and tease each other. I can't stand mushy lovey talk.
pomelo / 5000 posts
Yes. It's to be silly. We just do it at home, but sometimes it slips out in public and we give each other the "whoops!" look.
