I've been trying to charge it in the morning while getting ready so that my phone doesn't stay plugged in all night once its at full power.

Yes, I charge every night. It doesn't affect the iPhone battery to leave it plugged in.

Yes. Our apartment has built in iPhone docks in the bedroom, so I charge it at night.

@looch: We have them in almost every room of the apartment, but they are for iPhone 4 and under, so I have to use an adapter (major whiney first world problems). The bedrooms have just a dock and the bathrooms and kitchen have a dock with radio and speaker. If it had been my decision, I would have picked a USB plug-in instead of a phone-specific dock.

@lamariniere: Got it! Thanks! We have those USB things installed in our house in some of our electrical outlets.
I am looking for a dock for my iphone 5 that is compatible with a protective case. I do keep my phone plugged in overnight and often also during the day.

@looch: It definitely depends on the case. My DH can keep his phone in the case to charge (his is a wallet style case), but I have to take mine out (and DD stole my case and I can't find it!).

I keep my phone plugged in overnight (I didn't know this was a bad thing?!) because I've been using a sleep mapping app and it needs to be plugged in and on my bed.

I plug mine in overnight. If I wake up at any point througout the night, I unplug it. But from what I've read, it's no longer an issue like it used to be on the old cell phones.

Nope. I charge it during the day and when it's full, I unplug it. Love having a charging block - so portable!

I charge it at work... I need it overnight to record DD's sleep patterns, eating times, etc.

No I don't. I charge it while I'm getting ready and then in the car if I need to.

Depends on when it dies. My phone is 2.5 years old (i.e. ANCIENT in phone world lol) and the battery life sucks. I prefer to just charge it as needed during the day (usually during naps) but sometimes I forget and I never want to go to bed with less than 75% battery because on any given night I might be up rocking LO for a while and I don't want to be left without my phone to play on haha. So when that happens I charge overnight until her first wakeup and then unplug it.

I charge overnight (because I use it as an alarm and am OCD about worrying about it dying) and also in the car (I keep it plugged in to use it as GPS). My battery rarely gets low.
I've had the phone for 3+ years and constant charging hasn't seemed to affect it at all.

I just charge it as needed. Somehow our bedroom layout wound up where every single plug is inaccessible behind furniture, and I only have one charger cord, so I can't charge it at night even if I want to. (I use it as my alarm, so can't keep it somewhere else.)

I charge mine overnight or if I'm too lazy to get out of bed and find and plug it in I charge during the day in my car. I'm in and out all day so it can get to a full charge by the time o head back home.

I charge mine in the evening so that I know my alarm will go off in the morning.

@Torchwood: exactly the same situation! I was just too lazy to explain it all lol.
