I did the 1st time I cleaned the floors. Now I just maintain using my Shark Vac + Steam! It's amazing.

Yes... because we don't have a mop! Also we keep the stroller in the car, so it's only when DH forgets to take off his shoes that we get a lot of dirt.

I use a swifter with the wet cloths to clean most of the floor and go on my hands and knees to wipe the corners or hard to reach areas.

I scrub the floors on my hands and knees once every other month or so. Weekly, I sweep, then swiffer dry, then steam mop. It's a time consuming routine, but we have 2 dogs, so it's necessary.

yes because my swiffer just doesn't do a good enough job! so i'll swiffer first, then use a spray and paper towel to thoroughly scrub each tile clean.

@mrbee: Challenge accepted!! I'll go do it right now. ........... Ok, tested on my kitchen floor, which is in desparate need of a mop, actually, and didn't get anything on the paper towel. We do have a no-shoes-in-the-house policy though. Perhaps that makes the difference?

not regularly at this point, but have done it before. Once LO starts moving on the floor we will definitely have to up our cleaning

Oh yes. Swiffers and their ilk just don't get the floors clean!

Yes. That's what my Mom did so that's what I do now. I'll swipe it with the mop here and there but I try to give it a good scrubbing on my hands and knees monthly.

ETA: Our kitchen floor is HUGE so it's a PITA to do it!
