I was exhausted today and my three year old talked all day long. like - all day. repeated the same questions over and over and eventually I started saying "uh huh..uh huh..yes. wait, what? no, you can't have that!" ha!!
drove me nuts but I apparently can't afford to tune her out or I agree to things I shouldn't. lol.

I have, but not often...E tends to say things like "Mom! What did I just say???" and scolds me if I don't know or am not engaging

I have to sometimes. My older LO talks nonstop from morning to night. I would go crazy if I had to respond to everything. Sometimes I tell him to go talk to his papa instead, since I'm always his first choice for audience.

I ask wh questions in these scenarios. LO thinks it's funny and usually comes up with crazy stories. But, he is definitely not as verbal as your LO, so I'm sure it's not on the same level lol

I wouldn't get away with this this with E. Ive tried! She says the same thing over and over and over until I either repeat it back or paraphrase it... then she carries on with her monologue.
